Overview

Quest items in Crimson Desert are special items tied to quests, storylines, and exploration. They include bounty notices for hunting dangerous targets, knowledge books that teach combat techniques and weapon mastery, blueprints for crafting equipment, investigative logs for solving mysteries, and a variety of keys, letters, relics, and other items needed to progress through the game's many quests and storylines.

Quest items are stored in a dedicated inventory section. Most cannot be sold or traded, and many are automatically removed once their associated quest is completed. Some items, like knowledge books and blueprints, are consumed on use and provide permanent benefits.

There are 522 unique quest items across all categories:

Bounty Notices

Bounty notices are posted throughout the world offering rewards for defeating dangerous enemies. They lead to challenging boss encounters with valuable rewards.

Posters

Posters display wanted criminals or notable persons of interest. They can be found on notice boards in towns and settlements across Pywel.

Knowledge Books

Knowledge books teach combat techniques, weapon mastery, and other skills. They come in multiple volumes with increasing knowledge and are purchased from specialized merchants.

Blueprints

Blueprints contain designs for crafting specific equipment, mounts, or items. They are consumed when used at a crafting station, permanently unlocking the recipe.

Recipes

Recipes unlock new crafting and cooking options. They are obtained from merchants, quests, or exploration.

Investigative Logs

Investigative logs track progress on investigation quests, recording clues and evidence gathered during each investigation.

Letters and Messages

Letters, messages, and notes contain important correspondence between characters. They often advance storylines or provide valuable information.

Journals and Logs

Journals and logs contain recorded observations about creatures, events, locations, or ongoing activities.

Books

Books contain written knowledge about the world of Pywel, its history, inhabitants, and mysteries.

Reports

Reports document intelligence, progress, or observations on various matters throughout the world.

News and Announcements

News items announce the defeat of notorious enemies or the resolution of dangerous situations affecting the world.

Warnings

Warnings alert travelers and adventurers about dangers lurking in specific locations.

Keys

Keys unlock specific doors, gates, chests, or passages. Most are tied to particular quests or locations and are consumed on use.

Maps

Maps reveal hidden locations, treasure caches, or resource deposits when examined.

Flyers

Flyers advertise shops, services, or events available in the world.

Appearance Coupons and Tickets

Appearance coupons and tickets allow character customization changes at specific NPCs.

Tokens and Seals

Tokens and seals serve as proof of accomplishment, affiliation, or authority. They may grant access to special areas or services.

Memories and Soulstones

Memories and soulstones contain crystallized experiences, spiritual energy, or the essence of defeated foes. They are connected to the deeper mysteries of the world.

Relics and Artifacts

Relics and artifacts are ancient objects of power or significance, often tied to the history or mystical forces of Pywel.

Quest artifacts are unique items that serve specific purposes within quests and storylines.

Quest Equipment

Quest equipment items are special gear tied to specific quests or storylines.

Quest consumables are items with specific uses within quests, such as remedies, special foods, or ritual components.

Containers and chests hold valuable rewards that can be opened to receive their contents.

Abyss Quest Items

Abyss quest items are connected to the mysterious Abyss and its powerful energies.
