Unsealed Letter

Overview

The Unsealed Letter is a Key Item in Crimson Desert. It is the same letter as the Sealed Letter, now readable after the mystical power sealing it has dissipated. The letter is from White Crow the Witch and contains a message from Elowen, requesting Kliff's help. It appears as a purple key item in the inventory and cannot be sold.

How to Obtain

The Unsealed Letter replaces the Sealed Letter in the player's inventory once the mystical seal dissipates through story progression. This occurs during the Black and White sub-chapter of Chapter 5: Guest Unbidden, after completing the Exposed Plot quest.

Uses

Open the inventory and examine the Unsealed Letter to read it. The quest prompt states: "The power sealing the letter from White Crow dissipated. Read the unsealed letter."

Reading the letter reveals that it is from Elowen the Witch, who asks Kliff for his help. This triggers The Missing Seal, the 64th main mission. The game also notifies the player that faction quests are sometimes required to advance the main story; this is the first instance where the Witches faction questline becomes mandatory.

Following the quest marker leads players to Journal, then Faction Quests, then Witches (Hernand section, red icon) to track the Witch of Wisdom quest. The marker points slightly east of the Scholarship Institute. Players must travel to the witch's hut, defeat enemies, enter through the roof window, and untie the captured witch. An Abyss Artifact sits on a nearby table and can be looted.

The final objective sends Kliff to the Witch's House in The Witchwoods, located west of Hernand City. Here, Kliff speaks with the witch and selects "Listen to Request" to complete the quest.
