How to Obtain
The Seal of Devotion is automatically obtained after defeating the Flame Knight boss at the Flame Knight's Castle on the western side of Demeniss. The boss requires story progression to spawn (approximately Chapter 7 or later). Along with the Seal of Devotion, you also receive:
Spada Sword (one-handed sword)
Scorch Flame Plate Gloves (with Volcanic Eruption abyss gear)
Effect: Worker Hiring
Once you return to your Greymane Camp with the Seal of Devotion, you unlock the option to hire workers using your commission points. This feature allows you to recruit additional camp members who can be assigned to dispatch missions.
This is extremely helpful for filling any empty slots in dispatch missions. Without enough workers, you may not be able to send out full parties on missions, reducing your overall efficiency and rewards. The worker hire system ensures you always have enough personnel to maximize your dispatch mission output.
How to Earn the Seal of Devotion
The Seal of Devotion is earned by defeating the Flame Knight at the Flame Knight's castle in the Demenis region. The castle becomes accessible after Chapter 8, though some faction missions in the surrounding Demenis area may need to be completed first to open the path leading to the castle itself.
Once you reach the castle and engage the Flame Knight, the fight is a standard boss encounter that rewards a bundle of high-end weapons and armor on top of the seal itself. The seal is added to your inventory automatically as part of the reward pickup, no extra quest step or turn-in is required. From the moment it lands in your inventory, the hire mechanic at camp is unlocked.
What It Unlocks
With the Seal of Devotion in your possession, the dispatch system at the Greymane Camp gains a hire option. This lets you fill empty dispatch slots with temporary workers paid for with Contribution Points. Hired workers are functionally identical to regular Greymane comrades for the purpose of the personnel count on any mission they are eligible for.
The defining detail of the hire mechanic is the refund behaviour. Contribution Points spent on hires are fully refunded to you once the mission returns to camp. You never permanently lose the points, they are just locked up for the duration of the mission. Because of this, the hire option is effectively free and should be used to prevent any dispatch slot from sitting empty. A multi-skill dispatch mission that would normally require a full team can be completed with a single qualified Greymane plus hired workers filling the remaining seats, which is one of the biggest productivity boosts for the entire dispatch system.
Tips
Defeat the Flame Knight as soon as the boss becomes available to unlock worker hiring early.
Commission points are earned through various activities; spend them on workers to boost your dispatch mission capacity.
Check the Worker Hire System article for more details on how to manage and assign workers.
The Flame Knight fight also rewards some of the best equipment in the game, so there are multiple reasons to tackle this boss.

Flame Knight Tristan Drop
The Seal of Devotion is dropped by Flame Knight Tristan when you liberate the Flame Knight's Castle in Demeniss. Tristan is a full combat encounter in his own right, and the fight has a sword, a shield, and several unique rewards alongside the key item.
Main Story Gating
The castle does not become available for liberation until after you have completed the main story quest Blood Coronation inside Demeniss Castle. Once that chapter 8 beat resolves, the world state around Demeniss updates and the Flame Knight's Castle becomes liberatable. Before that point Tristan cannot be challenged, so the Seal of Devotion is effectively locked behind chapter 8 progress.
Rage Gaming Guide Notes
The Rage Gaming key items guide frames the Seal of Devotion as one of the defining Demeniss drops because of the mechanic it unlocks. It turns contribution points, a resource many players found relatively irrelevant before this point, into a long-term economy for the Greymane Camp by making them spendable on Contribution Workers in dispatch missions.
