Critical Warning

Do NOT pick up the Fruit of Life until the story explicitly tells you to. Picking it up early will brick a quest, potentially forcing you to start a new playthrough or lose significant progress. Many players have learned this the hard way after 80 or more hours of gameplay.

If you accidentally pick it up before the story directs you to do so, there is no way to undo this action. The quest it locks out cannot be completed through any other means. Some affected players have had to watch YouTube videos of the quest content they missed, since they could no longer experience it in their own save file.

When you encounter the Fruit of Life in the world, leave it alone until a main story objective specifically asks you to collect it. This is one of the most commonly reported progression-breaking issues in the game.

Fruit of Life is a quest consumable in Crimson Desert. A fruit from the sister tree of Tariv's guardian tree, brimming with vital energy.

• Quest items are stored in a dedicated section of your inventory and generally cannot be sold or traded.

• Some quest items may remain in your inventory after completing their associated quest, while others are automatically removed.
