Overview
Poison Arrows are a specialized projectile type in Crimson Desert. The in-game description reads: "An arrow with a deadly poison applied to its tip. On impact, the victim is poisoned, steadily losing Health and slowly succumbing to death."
Unlike standard arrows, Poison Arrows apply the Poison debuff to any target they hit. This causes the affected enemy to lose health continuously over a set duration. The ongoing damage stacks well with direct melee or ranged attacks, making Poison Arrows especially effective against high-health targets like bosses.

Effect
When a Poison Arrow strikes an enemy, it inflicts the Poison status effect. Using them against regular enemies is wasteful when standard arrows can handle the job. These hedgehogs are small, twitchy, and tend to run in unpredictable directions when disturbed, which makes direct hits with a normal arrow frustrating. Poison arrows solve the problem because the damage-over-tick lets you shoot in the vicinity of a hedgehog rather than needing a body shot. The apple drops off the back of the critter either way.
This turns the farm from a twitch-aim exercise into a spray-and-collect loop, which is exactly why most farming guides assume poison arrows are loaded before the first pass.
Pair With the Infinite Arrow Build
The standard setup for hedgehog farming uses the Rampaging Infinite Arrows core paired with a single bow and two specific gear pieces, then feeds Poison Arrows into it. The infinite arrow system removes the ammo cap entirely, so you can salvo the bushes on every walkthrough without rationing shots.

Required Support Gear
Before starting a poison arrow hedgehog circuit, equip the Radiant Necklace to force clear weather, since hedgehogs do not spawn in rain. Also wear a Mask from any Back Alley Shop so the stolen-apple pickup does not cost contribution.
