Icemore Castle Ruins
Icemore Castle Ruins is a crumbling fortification located in the northern part of the Hernand region in Crimson Desert. The ruins become a prominent location during one of the early faction quests, the Lord Amidst the Ruins questline that pits you against the boss Saigord the Staglord. However, you can visit the ruins before picking up the quest to claim a valuable hidden item: the Leather Cloak of the Fallen Kingdom, tucked away in a secret chamber accessed through a small opening on the lower level.
Location
Icemore Castle Ruins sits in a cold northern zone of the Hernand region. The area features freezing temperatures that actively affect gameplay by draining your stamina regeneration. The castle is a large, multi-level stone structure with crumbling walls, staircases, and a lower level that contains both the boss arena and the hidden treasure chamber.

Hidden Chamber
The Leather Cloak of the Fallen Kingdom is hidden in a secret chamber within the lower level of the castle ruins. To reach it, push through to the far side of the ruins and then descend to the lower level. Look along the walls for a small opening that is easy to overlook. Duck into this narrow passage to enter the secret chamber, where you will find a chest containing the cloak.
How to Reach the Secret Chamber
Enter Icemore Castle Ruins and push through to the far side of the structure.
Head down the stairs to the lower level of the ruins.
Scan the walls carefully for a small, narrow opening. It may be partially obscured by rubble or shadows.
Crouch or duck to fit through the opening and enter the hidden chamber.
Open the treasure chest inside to claim the Leather Cloak of the Fallen Kingdom.
Treasure: Leather Cloak of the Fallen Kingdom
The chest in the secret chamber contains the Leather Cloak of the Fallen Kingdom, a cloak that provides Level 3 Lightning Resistance. In Crimson Desert, cloaks are primarily defined by their elemental resistance bonuses (fire, ice, or lightning), and this cloak offers the highest tier of lightning protection available on a single equipment piece. This makes it particularly valuable for boss encounters and areas where enemies deal lightning damage.

Lightning Resistance | Lv. 3 |

Lightning Resistance Lv. 3 is significant because many mid to late-game enemies and bosses use lightning attacks. Having this cloak available early allows you to equip it situationally whenever you face lightning-heavy encounters, reducing incoming elemental damage substantially.
Fallen Kingdom Set
The Leather Cloak of the Fallen Kingdom is one piece of the Fallen Kingdom equipment set. Other pieces in this set include the Leather Helm of the Fallen Kingdom, the Leather Armor of the Fallen Kingdom, and the Fallen Kingdom's Rapier. The set pieces are scattered across different locations in the Hernand region and can all be collected during the early game without defeating bosses. The Fallen Kingdom set is one of the best free early-game equipment sets available.
Lord Amidst the Ruins Quest
Icemore Castle Ruins becomes a key location during the Lord Amidst the Ruins faction quest. This quest sends you to the ruins to confront Saigord the Staglord, an armored knight boss who fights with a sword and shield. Defeating Saigord rewards the Staglord's Shield and the Turning Slash Expertise skill. The boss fight takes place in the castle's main arena area, separate from the hidden chamber where the cloak is located.
Tips
Visit before the quest. You can reach Icemore Castle Ruins and grab the Leather Cloak of the Fallen Kingdom before accepting the Lord Amidst the Ruins quest. The cloak is in a separate area from the boss encounter.
Prepare for the cold. The northern location means cold temperatures that reduce your stamina regeneration. Bring recovery items or equip gear with Ice Resistance to mitigate the cold effect. Reaching at least Ice Resistance Lv. 5 is recommended if you plan to fight Saigord.
Look for the small opening. The entrance to the secret chamber is intentionally hard to spot. After descending to the lower level, move slowly along the walls and watch for any gaps or narrow passages.
Swap cloaks situationally. Lightning Resistance Lv. 3 is not always needed. Keep the Leather Cloak of the Fallen Kingdom in your inventory and swap it in before fights where enemies use lightning attacks. Use fire or ice resistance cloaks for other encounters.
