Overview
Gorthak Ironworks is a research institute and industrial facility located in the Delesyia region of Crimson Desert. Situated in the northwestern part of Delesyia near the Demeniss border, the Ironworks specializes in heavy military technology and serves as the primary location for unlocking offensive ATAG mech capabilities. It is one of three research institutes in the Delesyia territory.
Location
The Ironworks sits in a mountainous area of northwestern Delesyia. The facility is built into the rocky terrain, with industrial forges, testing grounds, and storage areas for raw materials. The architecture reflects the functional, utilitarian nature of Delesyian engineering, focused entirely on military applications rather than aesthetics.

When you first arrive at Gorthak Ironworks, the lead researcher requires 5x Gunpowder to begin work. Once operational, the facility offers research projects focused on upgrading your mechanical arsenal:
Machine Parts Research

Unlocks: Dispatch missions to craft the following ATAG weapons:
ATAG Cannon: A powerful ranged weapon for the ATAG mech, capable of dealing heavy damage at a distance
ATAG Laser: A precision energy weapon that can target specific weak points on enemies and structures
ATAG Pincers: Heavy melee attachments that allow the ATAG to grab and crush enemies or obstacles
Additionally, completing the Machine Parts Research upgrades Oongka's Rocket Pack with the Vertical Flight ability, significantly expanding the mech's traversal capabilities.
Delesyia Research Institutes
The Delesyia region is home to three separate research institutes, all focused on upgrading your mechanical arsenal and ATAG mech. Unlike research facilities in other regions that focus on plants and magic, Delesyia's research shifts entirely toward heavy military applications. Gorthak Ironworks is the institute dedicated to offensive ATAG capabilities.
