Overview
Generate is a specialty used by Electric-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia to power machines and lights temporarily with a jolt of electricity. It is required for several late-game builds including Cash Registers, powered signs, and certain habitat-exclusive furniture. Over two dozen Pokemon have this specialty, making Electric Pokemon an essential settlement type as the story progresses.
What Generate Does
Powers Cash Register furniture required for the Trade specialty shops
Lights up unlit streetlights, Mushroom Lamps, and other electric light sources on demand
Activates powered decorations such as electric signs, jukeboxes, and certain arcade-themed furniture
Required for the Factory Storage habitat on which Magnemite (and the post-game Magnet Rise unlock) depends
How to Use Generate
Approach the unpowered machine, light, or decoration.
Have a Generate-specialty Pokemon following you, then select "Do something" and choose the Generate action.
The Pokemon discharges electricity into the device, activating it for a limited duration.
For permanent power, build a Powered Stone habitat that houses Electric Pokemon nearby. The habitat maintains power to adjacent machines as long as a Generate Pokemon lives there.

Tips
Befriend at least two Electric Pokemon as soon as Bleak Beach opens. Many late-Withered-Wasteland recipes require powered furniture, and having a dedicated power source saves backtracking.
Magnemite is the single most important Generate Pokemon because befriending it unlocks Magnet Rise, the post-game Ditto transformation that trivializes large building projects.
Toxtricity and Raichu double up on Generate and Hype, making them great multi-role residents.
Place a Generate Pokemon's habitat next to your main Workbench and Cash Register if you plan to run a Trade-specialty shop. The shop needs constant power.
Generate does not affect weather; for Rain Dance or Sunny Day sites, see Weather System.
