Kilowattrel

Overview

Kilowattrel is an Electric/Flying-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia, classified as the Frigatebird Pokemon (Dex #267). It uses its throat sac to store electricity generated by its wings. There is hardly any oil in its feathers, so it is a poor swimmer. Kilowattrel is the evolved form of Wattrel in the main series. It carries two specialties: Fly and Generate, making it a versatile partner for both aerial travel and energy production.

Tall pink grass from way above the clouds. Even strong winds can't stop it from growing.

Kilowattrel is a Rare visitor at the Elevated Pink Tall Grass habitat. It shares this habitat with Wattrel (Common), Corvisquire (Common), and Corviknight (Very Rare). Patience is required since Kilowattrel does not appear as frequently as its pre-evolution.

How to Befriend

Build the Elevated Pink Tall Grass by placing four Pink Tall Grass items at a high-up location on your island. Kilowattrel is a Rare visitor, so expect to wait before it shows up. Wattrel and Corvisquire will likely appear first as Common visitors. Keep checking back regularly, and Kilowattrel should eventually arrive. Walk up and interact with it to befriend it.

Specialties

Fly

Kilowattrel has the Fly specialty. If you speak to a Pokemon with the Fly specialty while using the Pokedex to search for another Pokemon, the Fly Pokemon can take you directly to that Pokemon's location. This makes Kilowattrel an excellent exploration companion for quickly locating specific Pokemon across your island.

Generate

Kilowattrel also has the Generate specialty. Pokemon with the Generate specialty can produce electricity and power electrical devices around your island. Assign Kilowattrel to a generator or power station, and it will steadily produce energy. This dual specialty combination makes Kilowattrel highly versatile, serving as both a travel companion and a power source.

Preferences

Kilowattrel prefers bright environments. Place electronics, ocean-themed decorations, and slender objects near its habitat to raise its Comfort Level. Its taste for Dry-flavored foods means dried snacks and berries with a Dry flavor profile work best.

Related Pokemon

Kilowattrel is the evolved form of Wattrel (Dex #266) in the main Pokemon series. In Pokopia, there is no evolution mechanic, so each must be found at its own habitat independently. Both share the Elevated Pink Tall Grass habitat (#140), where Wattrel is Common and Kilowattrel is Rare. Kilowattrel gains the Fly specialty on top of Wattrel's Generate specialty, making it the stronger choice for players who want both travel and energy production from a single Pokemon.

Tips

• Kilowattrel is Rare at the Elevated Pink Tall Grass, so building the habitat early gives you more time for it to appear. You will likely befriend Wattrel long before Kilowattrel shows up.

• The combination of Fly and Generate makes Kilowattrel one of the most useful dual-specialty Pokemon. Use Fly to travel quickly, and assign it to Generate when you need extra power.
