Overview
Falling Palm is the ultimate ability at the center of Kliff's Abyss Tree in Crimson Desert. It sits at the convergence point where all three skill branches (Blue, Green, and Red) meet. Completing any single branch fully unlocks Falling Palm, making it a milestone reward for dedicated investment in any one playstyle.
How It Works
Falling Palm consumes all of Kliff's remaining Stamina to deliver a massive ground-impact strike. The damage scales directly with how much Stamina you have when activating the skill: more Stamina means more damage. This makes it a high-commitment finisher since using it drains your entire Stamina bar, leaving you unable to dodge, sprint, or block until Stamina regenerates.
The skill channels the force of a fall into a single devastating blow, slamming energy into the ground in a wide area of effect. It is most effective as a finisher against staggered bosses or large groups of enemies, where the risk of a fully depleted Stamina bar is offset by the elimination of the threat.
Unlock Requirements
Falling Palm requires completing all levels of any one branch of the Abyss Tree:
Branch | Levels | Focus | Skills Required |
|---|---|---|---|
Blue (Stamina) | 16 | Physical combat, archery, armed and unarmed techniques | 21 skills including Armed Combat, Grappling, Archery, and Sword Flurry |
Green (Spirit) | 14 | Supernatural abilities, Force Palm, perception | 13 skills including Force Palm, Keen Senses, Focus, and Nature's Echo |
Red (Health) | 18 | Elemental powers, Axiom Force, flight | 10 skills including Imbue Elements, Axiom Force, Flight, and Winch |
The Green Branch has the fewest skills (13) but requires 14 levels, while the Red Branch has the fewest total skills (10) across 18 levels. The Blue Branch is the largest at 21 skills across 16 levels. Whichever branch you complete first unlocks Falling Palm; completing additional branches afterward does not enhance it further.
Related Skill: Light Falling Palm
Light Falling Palm is a separate skill in the Green Branch that functions as a smaller version of Falling Palm. It can be used while swinging via Axiom Force, blasting energy toward the ground during traversal. Unlike the full Falling Palm, Light Falling Palm does not consume all Stamina and its damage scales with the currently active element from the Axiom Bracelet. It can be used more freely as a mobility-combat hybrid move.
Strategic Use
Save Falling Palm for staggered bosses or near-dead elite enemies to guarantee the kill.
Pair with Stamina-boosting armor and Abyss Gear augments to maximize damage output.
Avoid using Falling Palm at the start of a fight since the Stamina drain leaves you vulnerable to counterattacks.
In multi-enemy encounters, use it as an AoE finisher after grouping enemies together with Winch or shield shoves.
Manage your Stamina regeneration carefully after use. You can switch to ranged weapons while waiting for Stamina to recover.
