Overview
Diamond is a mineral with the highest level of hardness in Crimson Desert. A symbol of nobility and often used as a gift, it is rarely produced in Varnia's rocky regions and found only in very small quantities in old mountainous areas. Diamonds serve as a high-value crafting material used in high-tier gear refinement for plate armor, weapons, shields, and jewelry.

Where to Find
Diamonds are found deep inside caves and hard-to-reach locations, making them significantly rarer than Iron Ore or Copper Ore. Unlike surface ores, most diamond deposits require entering hidden cave systems. Several locations across Pywel contain diamond nodes.
Hernand Highlands Cave
The most accessible diamond deposit is located right next to the Greymane camp in the Hernand Highlands. Look for a large crevasse or pit in the ground near the camp. Jump inside and head to the far corner, where a secret cubby opens into a cave with stalactites. This cave contains a substantial number of diamond nodes and is easy to revisit because of the nearby fast travel point.
Anvil Hill Area
Between Hernand and Demeniss, near Anvil Hill, diamond deposits can be found tucked into cliff faces near a waterfall. Three nodes sit in a sheltered corner of the rock face. This location also has gold ore caves nearby, making it efficient to farm both resources in a single trip.
Southern Hernand
Additional diamond clusters appear in the Steel Mountains south of Hernand. Look along the cliffs and rock walls in this area, particularly near landmarks such as the Spire of Insight. There is also a cluster south of the Hernand Highlands embedded in a cliffside near the coast.

Diamonds are categorized with ores and jewels for refinement purposes. They are required for high-tier upgrades on the following equipment:

Diamonds also have a high sell value of 22 silver coins each, making them a reliable way to earn money if you do not need them for upgrades.
Tips
Use the Mining Knuckledrill when mining diamonds. At rank 6 it gains a 10% chance for bonus ore per node, and at rank 10 this increases to 20%. The auto-gather feature also saves time in tight cave spaces.
Equipping Abyss Gears that grant a 10-30% bonus to ore yields further increases your haul from each diamond deposit.
Diamond deposits respawn approximately every 7 in-game days. Mark each location on your map and revisit them on a regular cycle.
Save diamonds for late-game refinement where they are most needed. Selling them early can leave you short when upgrading to the final tiers.
Bring a lantern for better visibility in the darker cave areas.
