Overview
Thin Hide is a crafting material in Crimson Desert used for refinement at the blacksmith. Refining with Thin Hide upgrades leather armor and jewelry. It drops from small mammals, especially foxes and baby deer, making it one of the easier hides to collect during regular exploration.

Where to Hunt
Hernand Woodlands
The forests of the Hernand region are the most convenient place to farm Thin Hide. Baby deer appear in groups alongside adult deer, so any area with deer activity will also have juveniles. Foxes share the same wooded habitats and can be picked off while you move between deer herds.
Pailune Forests
The lower-altitude forests in the Pailune region also host both baby deer and foxes. If you are already in Pailune hunting moose for Large Bone, keep an eye out for small mammals along the tree line on your way up the mountain trails.
Tannery Shop
Thin Hide is available for purchase at the Tannery in Hernand town. Stock refreshes daily at midnight (in-game time). Sleeping at a bed speeds the clock forward, letting you buy multiple batches in quick succession.
Crafting Uses
Thin Hide is consumed during refinement at the blacksmith to upgrade leather armor and jewelry. It is a lighter-grade hide compared to Thick Hide or Sturdy Hide, and tends to appear in earlier or lower-tier refinement recipes. Stock up on it during your initial explorations of Hernand so you have a comfortable reserve when you reach the blacksmith.
Farming Tips
Baby deer are the easiest targets. They have low health and appear in nearly every forested clearing.
Foxes are small and fast. Use a bow to take them down at range before they bolt.
Hunting baby deer also puts you near adult deer, which drop Short Hair Hide and Small Bone. Collect everything in one sweep.
