Overview
Small Bone is a crafting material in Crimson Desert used for refinement at the blacksmith. Refining with Small Bone upgrades leather armor and jewelry. It is one of the more common bone materials, dropped by several small-to-medium animals found throughout the open world.
How to Obtain Small Bone
The main way to get Small Bone is by hunting and skinning animals. Wolves, deer, and goats are the primary sources, and all three appear frequently in wooded areas across the map. After killing an animal, approach the carcass and skin it to collect any materials it drops.

Provisioner's Shop
Small Bone can also be purchased from the Provisioner's Shop in Hernand town. The shop inventory refreshes daily at midnight (in-game time), so you can sleep at a bed or bonfire to cycle the stock if you need more. This is a reliable fallback when you need a specific quantity for a refinement recipe and don't want to spend time hunting.
Crafting Uses
At the blacksmith's refinement bench, Small Bone is used alongside other materials to improve leather armor and jewelry. These upgrades raise the item's base defense or special stats. Because Small Bone is easy to stockpile through regular hunting, it tends to be one of the first refinement materials players accumulate in large quantities.
Farming Tips
The woods north and northwest of Hernand Castle have dense spawns of deer and goats. Running a circuit through this area yields a steady supply of Small Bone.
Wolves are slightly riskier targets but drop both Small Bone and Fang, making them efficient for players who need both materials.
Check the Provisioner's Shop each time you visit Hernand. Buying out the daily stock on top of your hunting haul speeds up refinement progress.
