Overview
Short Hair Hide is a crafting material in Crimson Desert used for refinement at the blacksmith. It upgrades leather armor and jewelry. This is one of the most commonly found hunting materials in the game because a wide variety of animals drop it. You will accumulate Short Hair Hide naturally during normal exploration without needing to go out of your way.

Where to Hunt
Hernand Woodlands
The forests surrounding Hernand are the easiest place to collect Short Hair Hide. Deer are everywhere, and foxes appear in the same zones. You can fill your inventory just by hunting whatever you see while traveling between quest objectives.
Settlements and Farmland
Cows and sheep roam near human settlements and farmland. They are non-aggressive and won't fight back, so they are quick kills. Look for livestock pens and open pastures on the outskirts of towns.
Pailune Mountains
Moose and goats inhabit the snowy mountain peaks of the Pailune region in the northwest. The trip is worth it if you also need Large Bone from moose, but for Short Hair Hide alone the Hernand woods are faster.
Delesyia Forests
The Delesyia region has its own populations of deer and foxes. If you are questing in Delesyia, hunt along the way to keep your Short Hair Hide stock topped off.
Tannery Shop
Short Hair Hide is sold at the Tannery in Hernand town. Inventory refreshes daily at midnight (in-game time). Given how easy this material is to obtain through hunting, the shop is mainly useful if you need a specific amount immediately for a refinement recipe.
Crafting Uses
Short Hair Hide feeds into blacksmith refinement for leather armor and jewelry. It is a common-grade hide, so expect to see it in earlier refinement tiers. Because you gather it passively from so many animal types, you rarely need to farm it deliberately.
