Overview
Cloth Piece is a crafting material in Crimson Desert used for refinement at the blacksmith. Unlike bone and hide materials that come from hunting animals, Cloth Piece drops from human enemies. It upgrades soft armor, cloaks, and jewelry.
Sources
Bandits
Cloth Piece drops most frequently from bandits in the Hernand region. Bandit camps and roaming patrols are scattered throughout Hernand's roads and wilderness. Clearing a camp or wiping out a patrol yields Cloth Pieces from the defeated enemies alongside any other loot they carry.
Because the Hernand region is where the main story begins, you will encounter bandits constantly during early-game questing. Loot every bandit you kill to build a natural stockpile of Cloth Pieces without any dedicated farming.
Provisioner's Shop
Cloth Piece is available at the Provisioner's Shop in Hernand town. The inventory refreshes daily at midnight (in-game time). If you need Cloth Pieces in bulk for a specific upgrade, buy out the daily stock and sleep to trigger the next restock cycle.
Crafting Uses
Cloth Piece is consumed during refinement at the blacksmith to upgrade soft armor, cloaks, and jewelry. Soft armor and cloaks are the lighter-weight equipment options in Crimson Desert, favored by players who prioritize mobility and dodge speed over raw defense. If you're building a light-armor set, Cloth Piece will be one of your most-needed materials.
Farming Tips
Clear bandit camps whenever you find them. They respawn after some time, giving you a repeatable source of Cloth Pieces.
Road ambushes by bandits are common in Hernand. Traveling on foot (instead of fast-traveling) between locations lets you intercept these encounters for extra drops.
Combine Cloth Piece farming with Fleece runs, since bandits also drop Fleece.
The Provisioner's Shop is a reliable daily source if you want to avoid combat.
