Rebuilt variants table with 22 entries (image, build cost, comfort)
Windrose's creatures are split across four rough groupings: wildlife (the food and leather chain), undead and drowned (the supernatural layer), plague and Senkamati corrupted (the Cursed Swamps threat stack), and Blackbeard crew (the dominant pirate faction). This hub lists every documented creature with its current-patch health pool, armor rating, and signature drops, so you can decide where to hunt for a given resource before the trip.
For hostile enemies grouped by combat role rather than biology, see Enemies. For the launch-build named boss encounters, see Bosses. A shorter overview of purely non-combat and food-animal wildlife is at Wildlife, and the alphabetical roster lives at Bestiary.
Every row below uses the Windrose data export for game version 0.10.0.0.277. Numbers may drift on patches, and blank cells simply mean the value is not yet exposed in any verified source.

Pack predators that patrol the Foothills biome and drop Wolf Fang, Meat, and Rough Hide. Alpha Wolf individuals also drop the Wolf Head trophy component, but the head is not guaranteed on every kill.
Creature | Health | Armor | Drop Highlights |
|---|---|---|---|
1,440 | 0 | ||
2,240 | 25 |
Wolves favor 240 Pierce melee strikes, travel in twos or threes near Foothills ruins, and have no listed weakness. Alpha Wolves anchor packs, gate the Wolf Head trophy, and add a 25-point armor layer over the basic wolf's 1,440 HP frame.
Aggressive wildlife found across Coastal Jungle and Foothills. All boar variants drop Rough Hide, Meat, and Animal Fat; tougher variants add Boar Tusk and the Boar Head trophy component.

1,440 | 15 | ||
2,640 | 30 |
Boar HP climbs sharply: Savage Boars land a 420 Slash red-glow charge on top of 2,640 HP and 30 Armor. Charging Boars share the unblockable charge tell at a lower HP tier. Sows are docile half the time and make the easiest starter hide target.
Mountain Goat family, native to the Foothills. They drop Rough Hide plus the alchemy-gated Bezoar and Mountain Goat Horn. The named Goat Leader is the only Foothills wildlife that drops the Great Goat trophy head.
Creature | Health | Armor | Drop Highlights |
|---|---|---|---|
1,520 | 0 | ||
720 | 0 | ||
2,560 | 20 |
Goats are Slash-weak, deliver 220 to 355 Crude melee, and drop the alchemy-gated Bezoar. Goat Leaders anchor ruin pulls and can yield up to six Rough Hide per kill, making them the best Foothills hide farm once you can survive the pack.
Coastal Jungle birds. The docile Coastal Dodo drops Bird Meat and Dodo Egg; the aggressive Azure Dodo drops Feather for arrow crafting and the Dodo Head trophy component.
Creature | Health | Armor | Drop Highlights |
|---|---|---|---|
640 | 0 | ||
960 | 0 |
Coastal Dodos only attack if provoked, but they always pile on with any Azure Dodo that aggros you. Kill the blue birds first to break the cascade.
Coastal shallow-water and cave creatures. Standard Crabs drop Crab Meat and Crab Shell; the corrupted Thorn Fiddler is the undead variant found on night shores and drops Pearl and Undead Essence in addition to meat.
Creature | Health | Armor | Drop Highlights |
|---|---|---|---|
n/a | 0 | ||
1,100 | 0 |
Standard Crabs are docile wildlife that you pick up like a resource. Thorn Fiddlers are the undead variant that emerges on night shores; they swing two 190-damage melee slashes and have no listed damage weakness.
Cursed Swamps ambush predators. Standard Crocodile drops Crocodile Hide Piece and Crocodile Tail; the Plague Crocodile adds Tainted Bile and Plague Wood. Both can drop the Crocodile Head used for the two Crocodile trophies at 50 and 200 kills.
Creature | Health | Armor | Drop Highlights |
|---|---|---|---|
1,760 | 20 | Crocodile Hide Piece, Crocodile Tail, Crocodile Head | |
2,400 | 30 | Plague Wood, Tainted Bile, Crocodile Tail, Crocodile Head |
Crocodiles combo three Pierce melee strikes (235, 290, 290) and are weak to Crude and Pierce. Plague Crocodiles upgrade those to 300/330/330 with a plague damage-over-time aura. Both are slow turners; side-step the lunge and counter on the long recovery.
Undead humanoids found at buried-treasure dig sites, Smuggler's Cache, and at night along coastal strips. They drop Undead Essence and a rotating set of recovered valuables like Silver Button and Silver Spoon.
Creature | Health | Armor | Drop Highlights |
|---|---|---|---|
1,760 | 0 | Undead Essence, Silver Button, Silver Spoon, Pearl | |
2,000 | 40 | Undead Essence, Silver Button, Silver Spoon, Pearl | |
1,760 | 0 |
Drowned are slow solo but dangerous in numbers. Buried Treasure dig-site spawns typically come in groups of four and can rush you mid-shovel. Armored Drowned need Pierce or stagger combos to crack the 40 Armor shell. Swollen Drowned take bonus Fire damage, so torches and Blunderbuss incendiary ammo clear them fastest.
General risen-dead category found in Ancient Ruins. Weak to Fire, resistant to nothing else, and the reliable source of Undead Essence plus a Wooden Talisman and Healing Herbs.
Creature | Health | Armor | Drop Highlights |
|---|---|---|---|
1,440 | 0 | Wooden Talisman, Healing Herbs, Undead Essence |
Base Undead sit at 1,440 HP with no armor, four 270-damage slashes on a long windup, and a confirmed Fire weakness. Crude is the effective non-fire type. See Skeletons and Ghosts for the named sub-categories.
Cursed Swamps plague-corrupted enemies. Most drop Quagmire Powder, the bottleneck ingredient for Mire Metal Ingot crafting. Plague Berserker individuals drop ancient gold trophies tied to the High Priestess storyline, plus a guaranteed Tear of Sorrow.
Plague Thralls (1,440 HP) out-bulk Plague Hunters (1,020 HP) despite the lower tier in community progression paths. Plague Witches are paper-thin at 270 HP but deploy curses and totem hazards, so they are the priority kill in a mixed pull.
Creature | Health | Armor | Drop Highlights |
|---|---|---|---|
2,400 | 30 | ||
1,440 | 0 | ||
1,020 | 0 | ||
1,920 | 30 | Quagmire Powder, Ancient Incense Burner, Tear of Sorrow, Mysterious Spice | |
270 | 0 | Quagmire Powder, Ancient Incense Burner, Tear of Sorrow, Mysterious Spice | |
5,520 | 30 | Tear of Sorrow, plus one of six gold trophies (Ancient Chalice, Ancient Incense Burner, Gold Mask of the Priest, Gold Temple Jug, Gold Vase of the Chief, Pot with Golden Horns) |
Plague enemies leave a DoT ring that continues after disengagement, so plan your retreat path first. Plague Warriors are Pierce-weak, Plague Crocodile keeps the Crude/Pierce weakness of the crocodile family, and Plague Berserker at 5,520 HP should be stamina-starved rather than traded with.
Corrupted Senkamati faction of the Cursed Swamps. The same pre-pirate civilization whose tablets drive the Forgotten Relics quest chain and whose ritual daggers unlock the Senkamati Blades weapon path. The Senkamati Blades trophy and the Senkamati Artifacts collection both tie back to this faction, but the trophy is earned through the High Priestess quest rather than dropped from a Senkamati mob.

Senkamati Shaman Healer is the one documented Senkamati mob in the current build: Humanoid totem-type, spawns at Cursed Swamps ritual sites, drops the Plague Witch loot table. Additional Senkamati variants appear in loose community reports but have no verified stats yet and are not listed here.
Blackbeard's pirate crew, aligned with Blackbeard himself. Sailors, Sergeants, Grenadiers, and Musketeers fill camp encounters, fort defenses, and boarding actions against Blackbeard Ketch, Brig, and Frigate ships. They drop rank Insignia, Homemade Gunpowder, Rum Bottles, Nuts, and Copper Bullet ammunition, with Guinea on Sergeants specifically.
Creature | Health | Armor | Drop Highlights |

n/a | 0 | Newhand Insignia, Deckhand Insignia, Homemade Gunpowder, Rum Bottle, Nuts | |

1,000 | 0 | Newhand Insignia, Deckhand Insignia, Homemade Gunpowder, Copper Bullet, Nuts |
Crew Defense clusters at 220 with posture 3. Sergeants are the Pierce-weak 2,240 HP melee-plus-pistol elite and the only reliable Guinea drop. Musketeers are Slash-weak and telegraph a red-flash shot tell. Grenadiers favor thrown explosives at mid-range.

Boar family only (Sow, Boar, Charging Boar, Savage Boar) | |
Goat family only (Nanny Goat, Goat, Goat Leader) | |
Azure Dodo only; Coastal Dodos do not drop feathers | |
Undead, Drowned, Armored Drowned, Swollen Drowned, Thorn Fiddler | |
Plague Hunter, Plague Thrall, Plague Warrior, Plague Witch, Senkamati Shaman Healer | |
Plague Warrior, Plague Witch, Plague Berserker (guaranteed) | |
Sergeant is the one consistent mob drop | |
Gold Trophies (6 types) | Plague Berserker - Ancient Chalice, Ancient Incense Burner, Gold Mask of the Priest, Gold Temple Jug, Gold Vase of the Chief, Pot with Golden Horns |
Trophies (Heads) | Alpha Wolf, Savage Boar, Goat Leader, Azure Dodo, Crocodile, Plague Crocodile - head drops are not guaranteed |
Each family rewards a different engagement pattern. See Hunting for survival-tree talents and Leather for hide processing.
Family | Recommended Approach |
|---|---|
Wolf | Pull one at a time with Bow or Crossbow. Kite in narrow terrain and let goat herds soften packs for you. |
Boar | Side-dodge the red-glow charge, punish the recovery. Pierce weapons cut the armor layer. Sow kills are the safe early Boar Head route. |
Goat | Split herds at range. The Goat Leader opens with a 355 Crude hit: i-frame rather than block. Every goat can drop Bezoar, so clear the full pull. |
Dodo | Kill Azure Dodos first; Coastal Dodos only pile on once a blue bird aggros. Feather drops come only from Azure variants. |
Crab | Walk-up pickup on wildlife Crabs. For Thorn Fiddlers, swing into their back arc during the slow windup. |
Crocodile | Fight off the water line. Side-step the lunge and combo through the pivot. Cutlass or a Pierce spear for the weakness. |
Drowned | Account for all four mob spawns before looting a dig site. Torches and Fire ammo work on Armored and Swollen variants. |
Undead | Open with Fire, finish with Crude. Packs rarely coordinate, so single-target focus beats AoE. |
Plague | Kill order: Witches (270 HP), Hunters, Thralls, Warriors. For Plague Berserker, stamina-starve between charges and collect the guaranteed Tear of Sorrow. |
Senkamati | Open at range on the Shaman Healer; the surrounding Plague mobs collapse without its support. |
Blackbeard | Close on Musketeers through cover during the red-flash tell. Pierce shreds Sergeants. Stay out of Grenadier throw arcs. |
Creature whistles at Whistles summon temporary Boar or Crocodile pets, most famously Truffle the armored combat pig that draws aggro during the second main boss.

The Early Access ocean is not populated with wandering sea monsters. Sharks, whales, and roaming Kraken are not part of the base sailing experience; the overworld threat at sea is hostile ships.
Two weather-gated exceptions: the Maelstrom event spawns a Kraken at the core of a rotating whirlpool, and storm conditions raise the spawn rate of Ghost Ships and Sea Serpents. Both are ship-tier rather than melee encounters.
Numbers above come from game version 0.10.0.0.277 and may shift on patch days. Weakness None means the mob takes normal damage from every type, not that it is invulnerable. Defense reduces damage flatly before armor, while posture gates the stagger required to break guard.
Enemies - roster by combat role. Bosses - named boss encounters per biome. Wildlife - food-animal and leather chain overview. Bestiary - alphabetical creature index.
Trophies - trophies crafted from heads and the Senkamati Blades collection. Whistles - creature-whistle pet summons. Hunting - talents and farming routes. Alchemy - Bezoar, Quagmire Powder, Tear of Sorrow, and other ingredient uses.
