Overview
A fresh-pressed mark carried by Blackbeard's newest hands.
Newhand Insignia is an Uncommon reputation item in Windrose. It is taken from low-rank Blackbeard crew and turned in at any Tortuga archipelago faction to earn reputation. The scratched-in flavor text reads "Proof Blackbeard can afford to lose men," framing the item as a trophy of sorts rather than a functional tool. This is the base rung in the four-tier Faction Insignia ladder.

Vendors and Pricing
Newhand Insignia is not bought or sold by any vendor. It has no Piastre value and cannot be traded through the Trade Goods Merchant system. The intended use is to hand it in at each faction's Bounty Agent to raise Faction Reputation.
Loot Sources
Newhand Insignia drops from the most common rank-and-file Blackbeard crew members and, at a rare tier, from Senkamati ruin chests.

How to Cash Out
The best use of a Newhand Insignia stack is as filler for reputation turn-ins at a faction's Bounty Agent. Because the item stacks to 200 and drops at a 90% rate from every Blackbeard mob in the Coastal Jungle, a single boarding or camp sweep can produce twenty to thirty copies. Burn them in a single turn-in run after clearing a Blackbeard stronghold, rather than one at a time between engagements.
Newhand Insignias give the smallest per-item reputation bump of any insignia tier. Save Deckhand Insignia, Veteran Insignia, and Old Salt Insignia for crossing rank thresholds and use Newhand Insignia for the steady filler that keeps the reputation bar climbing between them.
Tips
Grenadiers, Regular Sailors, and Musketeers all drop Newhand Insignias at a 90% rate each. Clearing a mixed Blackbeard camp of five enemies usually surfaces three to four insignias.
Senkamati Ruins chests drop bulk stacks (3 to 10 per chest) at a rare 1% chance, so stacking Newhand Insignias from ruin loot is viable but unreliable.
The stack cap is 200, which is high enough that most players never hit the ceiling before cashing out at a Bounty Agent.
Reputation Payout
Turning in one Newhand Insignia at any faction Bounty Agent grants +1 reputation with the chosen faction. The value is identical at every Bounty Agent stall, so the item can be routed to whichever faction is closest to its next rank threshold.
Reaching Rank 2 with a faction takes 100 reputation, so a single Newhand Insignia closes 1% of the gap from Rank 1 to Rank 2. The later rank thresholds climb steeply, which is why the rarer insignia tiers (each worth far more than +1) are saved for crossing them. Confirm the exact higher-rank requirements against the in-game reputation bar, as the per-tier totals have shifted between updates.
Drops from rank-and-file Blackbeard crew (Regular Sailors, Musketeers, Grenadiers) at a 90% rate and stacks quickly through camp clears.

All five tokens hand in at any archipelago faction's Bounty Agent on Tortuga and raise Faction Reputation. Higher-rarity insignias grant more reputation per turn-in, so Newhand Insignia is the everyday filler while the rarer tiers are banked for rank thresholds.
