Armored Drowned is a drowned creature in Windrose. It spawns solo and appears during the night portion of the day-night cycle. With Armor 40 and 2,000 HP it is the most heavily plated entry in the launch-build creature roster, which makes the choice of damage type more important against it than against almost any other enemy.
Drowned are undead humanoid enemies that appear at buried-treasure dig sites, coastal smuggler caches, and at night along some shorelines. They drop Undead Essence, an alchemy ingredient used in healing potion recipes. The Armored variant is the night-only, higher-tier member of that family: it shares the Drowned silhouette and Undead Essence drop but hits harder and resists more.

Where to Find
This creature spawns during the night portion of the day-night cycle and on its own rather than in a pack. The wider Drowned family also turns up at buried-treasure dig sites and at coastal Smuggler's Cache locations, but the Armored variant is gated to the night cycle. Beyond the night-only timing, exact spawn coordinates are not fixed because the world is procedurally generated.

Tactical Notes
Armor 40 is the highest in the launch-build roster. Slash weapons underperform sharply; use Crude (Halberd, Club) or Pierce (Musket, Rapier).
Fire is the one type to avoid: at x0.4 it deals less than half value, so leave fire ammunition and incendiary tools for living enemies.
The 3-attack L1-L2-L3 combo plus R1 deals 215 Slash each (no armor penetration). Dodge the windup, counter in the recovery.
2-3 guaranteed Undead Essence per kill makes Armored Drowned the bottleneck farm for bulk Healing Potion crafting.
Notes
Night-only spawn. Set up a Tent for daytime respawn before engaging, or commit to a full night clear.
Pearls have trade value at faction provisioners; this is the only combat source of Pearl at current documented drop rates.
