Poliwrath

Overview

Poliwrath is a Water/Fighting-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia, classified as the Tadpole Pokemon (Dex #211). The muscles it has developed through swimming are thick and powerful. When it lands a square punch, it can turn huge boulders to dust. Poliwrath is one of the final evolutions of the Poliwag family, alongside Politoed. It carries two specialties: Water and Build, making it a powerhouse for both watering plants and leading construction projects.

Habitat

Poliwrath can be found at two habitats.

Sewer-hole Inspection (#156)

Looks like repairs are being carried out here. Only workers are allowed in, no exceptions!

Poliwrath visits the Sewer-hole Inspection habitat alongside Tinkatuff, Tinkatink, and Corviknight. The habitat can be placed in any area. Available during all times and weather.

Dojo Training (#178)

Once you employ the spirit of the warrior, you will be able to move even the heaviest of boulders.

Poliwrath is a Common visitor at the Dojo Training habitat. It shares this habitat with Gallade (Rare). Available during all times of day (Morning, Day, Evening, Night) and in all weather conditions (Sunny, Cloudy, Rainy).

How to Befriend

The Dojo Training habitat is the recommended option for finding Poliwrath, where it appears as a Common visitor. Place two Hanging Scrolls and two Strength Rocks near each other. Alternatively, the Sewer-hole Inspection requires Iron Pipes, a Sewer-hole Cover, Excavation Tools, and a Traffic Cone. Walk up and interact with Poliwrath when it appears to befriend it.

Specialties

Water

Poliwrath has the Water specialty. Pokemon with the Water specialty can use a full water basin to spray water on nearby fields and plants. This continues the family tradition shared by Poliwag and Poliwhirl.

Build

Poliwrath also has the Build specialty. Pokemon with the Build specialty will lead your building projects, speeding up construction of structures and furniture around your island. This makes Poliwrath particularly useful for players focused on expanding their base.

Preferences

Poliwrath prefers humid environments and Spicy-flavored foods. Its likes reflect its Fighting-type nature, favoring construction, exercise, and group activities. Place exercise equipment, construction items, and water features near its habitat to raise its Comfort Level.

Related Pokemon

Poliwrath is one of two final evolutions in the Poliwag family. In the main Pokemon series, Poliwag evolves into Poliwhirl (Dex #210) at level 25, and Poliwhirl evolves into Poliwrath with a Water Stone. Poliwhirl can alternatively evolve into Politoed (Dex #212) when traded holding a King's Rock. In Pokopia, there is no evolution mechanic, so each family member must be found at its own habitat independently. Poliwrath stands out from the family by gaining the Build specialty in addition to Water.

Tips

• The Dojo Training habitat is the simpler and more reliable choice. It only requires two Hanging Scrolls and two Strength Rocks, and Poliwrath is Common there.

• Poliwrath's dual Water and Build specialties make it one of the most versatile Pokemon in the Poliwag family. It can water your crops and lead construction projects.

• At the Dojo Training habitat, you also have a chance to encounter the Rare Gallade, making it a high-value habitat for two hard-to-find Pokemon.

• Poliwrath prefers Spicy foods, which is different from the rest of its family. Poliwag likes Sweet, Poliwhirl likes Bitter, and Politoed likes Sour.
