Overview
Strength is the tenth Ditto transformation unlocked in Pokemon Pokopia. It is a partial transformation where Ditto takes on muscular arms, granting the ability to push large boulders and heavy blocks around the environment. Strength is learned from Machoke in Rocky Ridges and is essential for rearranging terrain, clearing paths, and repositioning heavy objects for building projects.
How to Unlock
Strength is unlocked by completing Machoke's "Move Over, Boulder!" request in Rocky Ridges. When you first arrive in the area and restore the PC, Machoke will ask you to gather five stones and bring them back. After delivering the stones, Machoke teaches Ditto the Strength skill. This quest becomes available early in the Rocky Ridges storyline.
Controls
To use Strength, walk up to a large boulder or heavy block and hold the A button while pressing the left joystick in the direction you want to push. Ditto's arms transform into a muscular shape, and the object slides one tile in that direction. You can rotate objects by adjusting the joystick while pushing. Only one boulder or block can be pushed at a time.
What Strength Can Move
Strength works on large boulders, heavy stone blocks, and other weighty objects that cannot be picked up normally. These objects are too heavy for regular interaction and too large for Rock Smash to destroy. Strength is the only way to reposition them without waiting for the post-game Magnet Rise ability.
Limitations
Strength only pushes objects in a straight line. You cannot pull objects or move them diagonally. If a boulder reaches a wall, water, or another immovable object, it stops and cannot be pushed further in that direction. Precise placement can be tricky since you can only push, not fine-tune position. For more accurate block placement, the post-game Magnet Rise transformation (learned from Magnemite) allows flying and placing blocks freely in any direction.
Food Upgrade
Strength does not have a food upgrade. Unlike Water Gun, Leafage, Cut, and Rock Smash, eating food does not power up the Strength transformation.
Tips
Plan your pushes carefully before committing, since there is no undo. If a boulder gets stuck in an undesirable position, an upgraded Rock Smash (from eating Hamburger Steak) can destroy it entirely, though the boulder will be gone permanently. Strength is most useful during the Rocky Ridges and Sparkling Skylands portions of the story, where heavy blocks frequently obstruct paths and building sites. Once you unlock Magnet Rise in the post-game, most block-moving tasks become easier, but Strength remains the faster option for quick single pushes.
