Overview
Tinkatuff is a Fairy/Steel-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia, classified as the Hammer Pokemon (Dex #269). These Pokemon make their homes in piles of scrap metal and test the strength of each other's hammers by smashing them together. Tinkatuff is the middle stage of a three-stage evolutionary line, evolving from Tinkatink and eventually into Tinkaton in the main series. It carries the Build specialty, helping with construction projects around your island.
Habitats
Tinkatuff can be found at two different habitats.
Large Luggage Carrier (#028)
This long, wide cart can fit two large crates.
Item | Quantity | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Cart | 1 | Wheeled transport vehicle |
Wooden Crate | 1 | Standard storage crate |
Tinkatuff is a Rare visitor at the Large Luggage Carrier. It shares this habitat with Gurdurr (Common) and Tinkatink (Common). Building this habitat gives you access to both Tinkatink and Tinkatuff, though Tinkatuff will take longer to appear.
Sewer-hole Inspection (#156)
Looks like repairs are being carried out here. Only workers are allowed in, no exceptions!
Item | Quantity | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Iron Pipes | 1 | Metal piping |
Sewer-hole Cover | 1 | Manhole cover |
Excavation Tools | 1 | Construction equipment |
Traffic Cone | 1 | Warning marker |
Tinkatuff also visits the Sewer-hole Inspection habitat. It shares this location with Tinkatink, Poliwrath, and Corviknight.
How to Befriend
The simplest way to find Tinkatuff is through the Large Luggage Carrier, which only requires a Cart and a Wooden Crate. Tinkatuff is a Rare visitor there, so patience is needed. You will likely befriend Gurdurr and Tinkatink first since they are Common visitors. The Sewer-hole Inspection habitat is another option, requiring Iron Pipes, a Sewer-hole Cover, Excavation Tools, and a Traffic Cone. Walk up and interact with Tinkatuff when it appears to befriend it.
Specialties
Build
Tinkatuff has the Build specialty. Pokemon with the Build specialty can assist in constructing furniture, structures, and other buildable objects on your island. Like its pre-evolution Tinkatink, Tinkatuff helps speed up the building process when assigned to construction projects. The Hammer Pokemon's experience with scrap metal makes it a natural fit for this role.

Related Pokemon
Tinkatuff is the middle stage of the Tinkaton evolution family. In the main series, Tinkatink evolves into Tinkatuff at level 24, and Tinkatuff evolves into Tinkaton at level 38. In Pokopia, there is no evolution mechanic, so each must be found at its own habitat independently. Tinkatink and Tinkatuff share the Build specialty, while Tinkaton upgrades to the Engineer specialty. Tinkatuff shares the Large Luggage Carrier habitat with Tinkatink, and Tinkaton can be found at the Oversized Dumping Ground.
Tips
Tinkatuff is Rare at the Large Luggage Carrier, so build this habitat early and check back often. You will befriend Tinkatink and Gurdurr long before Tinkatuff appears.
If you want all three members of the Tinkaton family, build both the Large Luggage Carrier and the Oversized Dumping Ground. Together they cover Tinkatink, Tinkatuff, and Tinkaton.
Tinkatuff's Build specialty is identical to Tinkatink's. If you already have Tinkatink and want a stronger construction helper, consider pursuing Tinkaton with its Engineer specialty instead.
The Sewer-hole Inspection habitat also attracts Corviknight, making it a useful dual-purpose habitat for finding both Tinkatuff and a Fly-specialty Pokemon.
