Overview
Pidgeotto is a Normal/Flying-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia, classified as the Bird Pokemon (Dex #011). It evolves from Pidgey and evolves into Pidgeot. Pidgeotto has two specialties: Fly and Search. Standing at 3'7" and weighing 66.1 lbs, Pidgeotto is full of vitality and constantly flies around its large territory in search of prey.
Habitat
Pidgeotto can appear in two different habitats:
Habitat | Requirements | Rarity | Time of Day |
|---|---|---|---|
Tall Grass x 4, High-up location x 1 | Rare | Dawn, Day, Dusk | |
Wildflowers x 4 | Rare | Dawn, Day, Dusk |
The Elevated Tall Grass habitat requires four patches of tall grass placed at a high-up location. This habitat also attracts Pidgey (Common, daytime), Hoothoot (Common, night), and Noctowl (Rare, night).
The Pretty Flower Bed habitat is simpler, requiring only four wildflowers. It attracts a wider variety of Pokemon, including Pidgey, Hoothoot, Combee, Magby, and Eevee.
Location
Pidgeotto appears in any area where its habitats are built. Pidgeotto only appears during daytime hours: dawn, day, and dusk. It does not appear at night. Pidgeotto shows up in all weather conditions (sunny, cloudy, and rainy).
How to Befriend
Build either the Elevated Tall Grass or Pretty Flower Bed habitat and wait for Pidgeotto to appear during daytime. Since Pidgeotto is a Rare spawn, it may take several in-game days. Make sure to check the habitat during morning, afternoon, and evening hours, as it will not show up at night.
Specialties
Pidgeotto has two specialties:
Fly: If you speak to a Pokemon with the Fly specialty while you are using the Pokedex to search for another Pokemon, they can take you to that Pokemon's location. This is one of the most useful specialties in the game for tracking down specific Pokemon.
Search: Pokemon with the Search specialty can help you find buried items in the environment. This is useful for discovering hidden resources and materials.
Both Fly and Search are exploration-focused specialties, making Pidgeotto an excellent companion for players who want to track down Pokemon and uncover hidden items.

Tips
Pidgeotto shares habitats with its pre-evolution Pidgey. If you see Pidgey frequently but not Pidgeotto, keep waiting since the Rare spawn rate means it takes longer to appear.
Use Pidgeotto's Fly specialty to quickly locate specific Pokemon you are searching for. This saves significant time compared to manually checking habitats.
The Search specialty helps find buried items. Walk around different areas with Pidgeotto following you to discover hidden resources.
Pidgeotto does not appear at night. If you need to find it, skip forward to morning using a bed or wait for dawn.
