Overview
"Appraise Relic" is a request in Pokemon Pokopia that serves as one of the mood-boosting sub-tasks during the Time to Party! Important Request in Rocky Ridges. You must find a Lost Relic (particularly a Large Relic) from glowing blocks scattered around the area, then bring it to Professor Tangrowth for appraisal. The appraised item becomes a decorative piece that boosts the party mood when displayed.

How Appraisal Works
The Appraise specialty is unique to Professor Tangrowth. When you bring a Lost Relic to Tangrowth, the Professor examines it and tells you what item you found. Afterward, you receive the appraised item as a reward. The item you get is randomized and can be a habitat recipe, a crafting item recipe, or a decorative item you can place in the world.
Where to Find Lost Relics
Lost Relics are found inside blocks with glowing spots scattered throughout Pokemon Pokopia. Break these glowing blocks with Rock Smash to reveal their contents.
Small Relics: Common drops from glowing blocks. Yield smaller decorative items.
Large Relics: Rarer drops. Produce more impressive decorations and provide a larger mood boost when displayed.
Fossils: Special relic type that can reveal ancient artifacts or recipes.
Walkthrough
Step 1: Find a Lost Relic
Explore Rocky Ridges and break glowing blocks using Rock Smash. Look for blocks embedded in walls and floors, especially in cave areas. You need at least one Lost Relic (a Large Relic is preferred for a bigger mood boost).
Step 2: Locate Professor Tangrowth
Professor Tangrowth usually wanders near the Pokemon Center in Rocky Ridges. Head to the Pokemon Center area and look around for the Professor.
Step 3: Have the Relic Appraised
Talk to Professor Tangrowth and choose the option to have your relic appraised. The Professor will quickly examine the Lost Relic and reveal what item you found.
Step 4: Display the Appraised Item
Place the decorative item you received in the party area. This contributes points toward the party mood meter, helping you reach the 100-point target needed to complete the Time to Party! quest.

Tips
Large Relics give better decorations and a bigger mood boost. Prioritize finding those if possible.
Do not give Music CDs to Tangrowth. The Professor will pocket them and you will not get them back. Save CDs for DJ Rotom instead.
You can bring multiple relics to Tangrowth throughout the game. Each appraisal is independent.
