Walkthrough
Step 1: Speak with Professor Tangrowth
After reporting what you found during the Investigate the Cave request, speak with Professor Tangrowth near the ruined Pokemon Center. The Professor explains that Slowpoke's yawning ability could summon rain, which is needed to rescue Onix.
Step 2: Build a Seaside Tall Grass Habitat
Travel to the fishing dock area near the lighthouse. Construct a Seaside Tall Grass habitat by placing tall grass adjacent to ocean water. Use Leafage to generate the grass tiles. Once the habitat is complete, Slowpoke appears.
Step 3: Prepare the Path
Slowpoke moves very slowly and needs a clear, accessible route back to the Professor. Craft wooden stairs to bridge elevation gaps along the path. Slowpoke cannot climb steep inclines on its own.
Step 4: Guide Slowpoke
Use Water Gun to moisten the dry dirt road ahead of Slowpoke, making the path easier to traverse. Match Slowpoke's slow pace and talk to it during rest breaks to keep it moving. The journey takes a while, so be patient.
Step 5: Deliver Slowpoke to Professor Tangrowth
Once Slowpoke arrives at Professor Tangrowth's location, speak with the Professor to complete the request. This unlocks the Yawn Up a Storm Important Request.
Rewards
Unlocks Yawn Up a Storm: The next major Important Request in the Withered Wasteland storyline, which involves making it rain to rescue Onix.
Tips
Build the stairs ahead of time before triggering Slowpoke's arrival. Crafting them while Slowpoke waits can be tedious.
Slowpoke moves at a fixed slow speed. There is no way to make it go faster, so use the travel time to gather materials along the route.
Moistening the dirt road with Water Gun is not just cosmetic; it actually helps Slowpoke move more smoothly.
