Overview
"Light the Campfire" is a request in Pokemon Pokopia, given by Professor Tangrowth in the Withered Wasteland. After you placed a campfire in the previous request, the Professor asks you to find a way to light it. This introduces the concept of using specific Pokemon types for environmental tasks: you need to locate Charmander, a Fire-type Pokemon, to ignite the fire.

Walkthrough
Step 1: Place the Campfire
If you have not already done so, place the crafted Campfire in front of Professor Tangrowth. This should have been done during the Follow Bulbasaur request.
Step 2: Find Charmander
Use the Leafage ability to grow tall grass in the surrounding area. Keep generating grass until Charmander appears. Charmander is attracted to areas with tall grass and will spawn once enough has been placed. Look for the orange Pokemon emerging from the newly grown vegetation.
Step 3: Lead Charmander to the Campfire
Talk to Charmander and select "Follow me" to have it accompany you. Walk back to the Campfire location near Professor Tangrowth. Once Charmander is near the campfire, it automatically lights it with its flame.
Step 4: Speak with Professor Tangrowth
After the campfire is lit, talk to Professor Tangrowth to complete the request. The lit campfire provides warmth and light to the surrounding area.
Tips
This quest is part of a sequence. Make sure you have completed the campfire crafting step in the previous request before starting this one.
Charmander is your first Fire-type companion. Fire-type Pokemon are needed for many tasks throughout the game, including cooking and lighting furnaces.
If Charmander does not appear right away, keep using Leafage to create more tall grass. The spawn is tied to having enough grass in the area.
