Overview
"Digging and Burning Habitat" is a request in Pokemon Pokopia in Rocky Ridges that involves creating the Digging and Burning habitat inside the mine cave. This warm-type habitat is described as "a big furnace with equipment next to it" and is designed to attract Magmar. Once Magmar arrives, it can operate the Smelting Furnace to produce Copper Ingots from Copper Ore, unlocking a key tier of crafting materials needed for further progress in Rocky Ridges.

Habitat Recipe
The Digging and Burning habitat requires three items, all of which can be found inside the mine cave room:

All three items are located in the same room. You do not need to craft or bring anything from outside. Simply arrange them near each other to form the habitat.
Walkthrough
Step 1: Access the Mine Cave
First, complete the Cut Down That Fence request by using Powered-Up Cut on the thick wooden fences northwest of the Pokemon Center. This opens the path to the mine area.
Step 2: Locate the Habitat Materials
Inside the mine cave, you will find a Smelting Furnace, a Wheelbarrow, and Excavation Tools all scattered around the same room. These are ready-made items, not ones you need to craft.
Step 3: Build the Habitat
Place the Wheelbarrow and Excavation Tools beside the Smelting Furnace. Once all three items are positioned correctly, the game will confirm that you have created the Digging and Burning habitat.
Step 4: Befriend Magmar
Magmar will appear at the habitat shortly after it is created. Speak to Magmar to befriend it. Magmar is the only Pokemon attracted to this specific habitat.
Step 5: Smelt Copper Ingots
Magmar needs Copper Ore to operate the furnace. Break the nearby blocks with blue-ish stones embedded in them using Rock Smash to collect Copper Ore. Place the ore inside the Smelting Furnace, then have Magmar follow you to the furnace. Magmar will fire it up and produce Copper Ingots.

Tips
All three habitat materials are already in the mine cave. You do not need to go searching elsewhere.
After befriending Magmar, you can smelt both Copper Ingots and, later, Iron Ingots at the furnace.
Copper Ore is found in the blue-flecked blocks inside the mine. Break as many as you can since Copper Ingots are used in several crafting recipes, including materials for rebuilding the Pokemon Center.
The Frying Pan crafted from Copper Ingots unlocks cooking the Hamburger Steak, which powers up Rock Smash for breaking tougher blocks.
