Its Attack of 18 is the highest base damage in the category, and the dual secondary stats (Critical Rate and Attack Speed) mean you do not have to sacrifice speed for crit chance or vice versa. This makes it the most well-rounded sword in the game.
The +4.0% elite damage core is a unique modifier that sets Wolf's Fang apart from weapons where you socket your own cores. Against regular enemies, the difference is negligible. Against elites and bosses, it adds up across dozens or hundreds of hits. For fights that take several minutes, that 4% flat bonus translates into meaningful time savings.
Because all three core slots come pre-filled, Wolf's Fang is ready to perform at full capacity the moment you receive it. There is no need to hunt for cores or visit a witch to configure the weapon. Wolf's Fang can be refined up to level 10 at a Blacksmith. Starting from a base Attack of 18, each refinement level pushes it further beyond any other one-handed sword. For players who plan to use one-handed swords as their primary weapon through the endgame, Wolf's Fang with full refinement is the best option available.
