Combat Tips
Daggers are the fastest one-handed weapon subtype, allowing for rapid combo strings and quick recovery between attacks.
As a Mythic-grade weapon, the Goblin King's Treasure Dagger has higher base stats and better scaling with refinement compared to lower-tier daggers.
Daggers excel at applying quick damage between enemy attacks. Use dodge-cancel techniques to weave in and out of melee range, and prioritize hitting enemy weak points for bonus critical damage.

Location Walkthrough
The Goblin King's Treasure Dagger sits inside the Mudridge Cabin (also transcribed as Mud Urch Cabin in some early community guides), a small fishing-style hut tucked under Unicorn Cliff in the southeastern reaches of Hernand. The cabin is a short ride from the Hernand camp and can be reached very early in the game, so players can grab the dagger before they start running out of hide on serious skinning routes.
From the Hernand fast-travel point, follow the water south and descend toward the cluster of wooden cabins along the cliff base. Two buildings sit close together; the dagger is hidden inside the second, smaller cabin of the pair. The approach is surrounded by bandits, so players can either liberate the camp first or slip through the gaps around the structures if they prefer a quick smash-and-grab.
Step-By-Step Route
Fast travel to Hernand and head south toward Unicorn Cliff.
Descend to the waterline below the cliff and locate the Mudridge Cabin group of wooden huts.
Approach the second (smaller) hut. Players can either clear the surrounding bandits first or crouch through the gap in the outer fence without engaging them.
Crouch and walk slowly through the narrow gap next to the cabin wall; running triggers detection from patrolling enemies.
Drop into the chest recess inside the hut and interact with the loot to pick up the Goblin King's Treasure Dagger.
Expect to fight on the way out. Once the camp has aggro on Kliff, fast travel is locked until the area is cleared or the player escapes line-of-sight.
Stealth and Aggro Tips
Aggro locks fast travel: the moment a bandit spots the player, the exit-to-camp shortcut disappears until combat resolves.
Crouching by default prevents most detection through the cabin gap; standing up or sprinting will alert the entire camp.
The dagger can be looted even while enemies are chasing. Pickup interactions are not blocked by aggro in this specific hut, unlike some other scripted cabins.
If the camp wipes Kliff, the cabin loot persists on respawn, so a second attempt after death does not require re-sneaking unless the area is liberated.
Skinning Passive
The dagger's most valuable property for farm routes is its passive 10% chance to skin an additional hide whenever the player skins a carcass. The bonus roll is independent per skin attempt and applies to every skinnable creature the player carves with the dagger equipped, including goats, deer, boars, wolves, and larger fauna.
The 10% chance is a flat passive tied to the weapon itself and is not affected by the dagger's refinement level. Refining the weapon from +0 to +10 still boosts raw attack and Critical Rate scaling, but the skinning bonus remains fixed at 10% regardless of refinement. Players can layer this with Abyss Cores or armor pieces that grant additional drop or gathering chances for an even higher expected hide yield per skin.
Best Uses for the Bonus Hide
Armor crafting: many mid-game sets at the Blacksmith require large stacks of raw hide.
Trading: raw and cured hides are reliable coin sellers at hunter camps and city merchants.
Saddle and tack upgrades: horse equipment recipes consume hide in bulk, and the passive reduces the grind noticeably.
Keep the dagger in the off-hand or secondary slot during hunting sessions even if the main weapon is something stronger; the passive only requires the dagger to be equipped when the skin action is performed.
Why Grab it Early
Community guides universally label the Goblin King's Treasure Dagger as one of the strongest early-game pickups in Crimson Desert, specifically because the skinning passive compounds the longer players own the weapon. Picking it up in the first few hours of Hernand content means dozens of additional hides saved across the rest of the playthrough, which translates directly into cheaper armor, faster trade income, and more breathing room for gambling refinements on other gear.
Because the cabin trip does not gate the dagger behind a boss fight or a liberation quest, even a Kliff with minimal combat stats can sneak in and leave with the reward intact. Players who are still under-leveled for the surrounding bandits should avoid engaging them directly and instead sprint-loot-dodge the route described above.
