Overview
The Glenmore Sword is a one-handed sword in Crimson Desert. It is one of the earliest swords players can get their hands on, available both as a world pickup and through crafting at a Blacksmith. With an Attack rating of 10 and an innate Attack Speed bonus, the Glenmore Sword is a solid option for players who prefer fast, aggressive swordplay during the opening chapters of the game.

As a one-handed weapon, the Glenmore Sword leaves the off-hand slot free. This lets Kliff pair it with a shield for a defensive setup, or equip a second one-handed weapon to unlock dual-wield combos. Its low weight and quick swing speed make it a natural fit for players still learning the combat system.

How to Obtain
World Pickup
Two Glenmore Swords can be found on a weapons rack in the area leading up to the Ludvig boss encounter. Check the weapon racks along the walls before entering the fight arena. This makes the Glenmore Sword one of the first weapon upgrades available without spending any currency.
Crafting
The Glenmore Sword can be crafted at any Blacksmith once you have the required recipe. The crafting materials are:
Material | Quantity |
|---|---|
Iron Ore | 5 |
Copper Ore | 2 |
Iron Ore and Copper Ore are both common mining resources found throughout the early regions of Pywel. You will need to acquire the crafting recipe before the Blacksmith option becomes available. Recipes can be found as loot drops, purchased from merchants, or earned through quest rewards.
Combat Notes
The Glenmore Sword's Attack Speed Lv. 1 bonus means it swings slightly faster than a baseline sword. This is noticeable during extended combo strings, where the slightly shorter recovery frames between swings let you squeeze in an extra hit before enemies can retaliate. The speed advantage pairs well with an aggressive, combo-heavy playstyle.
With three Abyss Core slots available, the Glenmore Sword supports meaningful customization. Slotting in cores that boost critical hit chance or add elemental damage can offset its relatively modest Attack rating of 10. Players who invest in refinement early can push the weapon's base stats higher, keeping it competitive through the early-to-mid game.
For players using a sword-and-shield build, the Glenmore Sword's speed makes it particularly effective for parry follow-ups. The fast swing recovery lets you land a full counter-attack combo after a successful parry before the stagger window closes.
Refinement
The Glenmore Sword has a maximum refinement capacity of 10. Each refinement level increases the weapon's base Attack value. Visit a Blacksmith and spend crafting materials to refine the weapon incrementally. Refinement is permanent and cannot be reversed, so gather extra materials before committing.
