Torstein's plan is bold: a strike team will infiltrate Pailune to sow chaos with explosives, while the main force brings down the walls and charges through the breach. This quest involves traveling to Beighen, waiting for nightfall, listening to Torstein's speech, and retrieving Jian's Sword from an underground crypt. There is no combat.
Travel to Beighen Village and locate the Blue Fangs guard you met during the Bared Fang quest. If the objective says "Wait for the right time," hold the Options button and select "Wait" to advance the clock to 10:00 PM. If you arrive at the village after 10:00 PM naturally, this step is skipped.
Once the time condition is met, enter the house behind the guards to trigger a cutscene.
Walk toward Torstein in the yard outside, where his soldiers have assembled. A cutscene plays automatically. Torstein outlines the battle plan for reclaiming Pailune.
Return to the underground tunnel by using the trapdoor inside the hut. Navigate through the tunnel to its end and pass through the door. You enter a crypt with an altar at the far end. Approach the altar to trigger the final cutscene, in which Kliff takes Jian's Sword.
If you want to skip waiting, just arrive at Beighen after 10:00 PM. You can spend the time hunting in the nearby forest or completing any leftover side content.
This is the last quest in the Dawn Mist sub-chapter. After this, the pace picks up significantly with the Pailune infiltration in the Dawnrise sub-chapter.
Make sure you have a full stock of healing items before moving on. The next several quests form a continuous chain with limited opportunities to restock.
Save your progress before starting this quest, especially if you are playing on a higher difficulty setting.
Late-game quests ramp up in difficulty significantly. Make sure your equipment is fully enhanced and your consumable stock is replenished before entering each new quest.
