Overview

Cacao is a dark brown fruit with fragrant seeds that deliver a deep, rich flavor when cooked. It is one of the gatherables in Crimson Desert and one of the rarest ingredients in the entire game. Cacao grows only in the border zone between Delesyia and the Crimson Desert, and even there it appears in very limited quantities.
Cacao is classified under the Fruits and Vegetables category. It does not restore Spirit when consumed raw but is a premium cooking ingredient that elevates any dish it features in.

Where to Find
Cacao trees grow only in the transitional zone between Delesyia and the Crimson Desert.
Border Zone: The narrow strip of land where Delesyia's forests give way to the arid Crimson Desert is the only place Cacao trees grow. Look along the transition between green forest and desert sand.
Limited Supply: Cacao nodes are extremely rare. Even in the border zone, you may find only one or two trees per visit.
Cacao is arguably the hardest standard ingredient to obtain in large quantities. Its extreme scarcity makes it a prized find for dedicated cooks.
Cooking Uses
Cacao seeds are used in specialty cooking recipes at a bonfire. Their deep, rich flavor can transform ordinary dishes into premium-quality meals. Recipes that call for Cacao tend to produce the highest-tier cooked items, offering strong, long-lasting buffs. Because of its rarity, Cacao should be reserved exclusively for these high-value recipes.
Tips
Cacao is one of the rarest ingredients in the game. Never sell it; always save it for high-value cooking recipes.
Search the border zone between Delesyia and the Crimson Desert for Cacao trees.
Mark any Cacao tree locations on your map so you can revisit them after respawn timers reset.
