Overview
The Dusk Fang Leather Gloves are a pair of Gloves in Crimson Desert that offer an unusually strong combination of offensive and defensive stats for a leather equipment piece. With 14 ATK, 6 DEF, Critical Rate Lv.1, Lightning Resistance Lv.1, and passive health regeneration of 0.2 HP per second, they serve as a well-rounded option for players who want their gloves to contribute meaningfully to both damage output and survivability.
The gloves are part of the Dusk Fang leather equipment set, which also includes the Dusk Fang Leather Armor and the Dusk Fang Leather Cloak. They are found inside the Castlewood Ruins after solving a short puzzle involving fire and vines.

Special Effects
Critical Rate Lv.1
The Critical Rate Lv.1 bonus increases the chance of landing critical hits with all weapon types. Critical hits deal significantly more damage than normal attacks and can be further amplified by other sources of Critical Rate from accessories, food buffs, and weapon enchantments. This makes the Dusk Fang Leather Gloves particularly effective for aggressive builds that rely on high damage per hit.
HP Restore (+0.2/sec)
The passive health regeneration effect restores 0.2 HP every second while the gloves are equipped. This regeneration is constant and does not require the player to be out of combat. While 0.2 HP per second is a modest amount, it adds up during exploration and between fights, reducing the need to consume healing items for minor chip damage. Over the course of a full minute, this effect restores 12 HP passively.
How to Obtain
The Dusk Fang Leather Gloves are found inside the Castlewood Ruins, a set of ancient ruins located in Southern Hernand, south of the Petalton Workshop in the Pororin Forest area. The chest containing the gloves is sealed behind metal bars that require solving a short puzzle to unlock.
Puzzle Solution
To access the chest, follow these steps:
Enter the Castlewood Ruins and locate the barred door. Look for a cluster of vines growing directly to the right of the door.
Use the Blinding Light skill (Concentrated Light) to burn the vines. Alternatively, fire arrows ignited from a nearby ground cauldron will also work.
Once the vines are destroyed, a torch is revealed behind them. Light the torch.
The metal bars blocking the door will drop, granting access to the chamber. Open the treasure chest inside to collect the Dusk Fang Leather Gloves.
This is one of two loot chambers inside the Castlewood Ruins. The second chamber, located deeper in the ruins, contains the Sunset Reed Leather Cloak and requires solving a separate lamp puzzle.
The gloves cannot be purchased from any known merchant and do not appear in any crafting recipe.
Part of the Dusk Fang Set
The Dusk Fang equipment set consists of three leather pieces scattered across different locations:
Piece | Type | Location |
|---|---|---|
Body Armor | Whispering Grotto (behind waterfall south of Senia) | |
Cloak | Cave at Grace Estate (break wooden gate with axe) | |
Dusk Fang Leather Gloves | Gloves | Castlewood Ruins (burn vines, light torch) |
Crimson Desert does not grant set bonuses for wearing matching equipment. Each piece is evaluated independently based on its stats, special effects, and Abyss Core slots.
Comparison with Other Gloves
The Dusk Fang Leather Gloves sit in the upper-mid range for gloves in terms of overall stat distribution. Here is how they compare to several other notable glove options:
Gloves | ATK | DEF | Notable Effects |
|---|---|---|---|
Dusk Fang Leather Gloves | 14 | 6 | Critical Rate Lv.1, Lightning Res Lv.1, HP +0.2/sec |
13 | 3 | Move Speed Lv.2, Lightning Res Lv.1 | |
Ator's Will Leather Gloves | 13 | 2 | Lightning Res Lv.1 |
Frostcursed Plate Gloves | 17 | 5 | Higher ATK, no special effects listed |
The Dusk Fang Leather Gloves stand out for having the highest defense among leather gloves listed here, while also offering Critical Rate and passive HP regeneration. Their 14 ATK is competitive, and the combination of offensive and defensive bonuses makes them one of the more well-rounded options available.
Usage Notes
The Critical Rate Lv.1 bonus benefits all weapon types and combat styles, making these gloves a strong pick regardless of whether the player focuses on swords, spears, bows, or unarmed combat.
The passive HP regeneration, while modest, reduces downtime between encounters and pairs well with other sources of healing like food buffs and the Potion system.
At 6 DEF, the Dusk Fang Leather Gloves provide notably more protection than most other leather gloves, which typically range from 2 to 3 DEF. This makes them a solid defensive upgrade.
As leather equipment, these gloves use hides and bones for Refinement upgrades at a blacksmith. Each refinement level increases both the ATK and DEF values.
Players should bring the Blinding Light skill or fire arrows when heading to the Castlewood Ruins, as the vine-burning puzzle cannot be bypassed.
