Overview
The Plate Helm of the Shadows is a Headgear piece in Crimson Desert. It is the final and hardest-to-obtain piece of the Shadows equipment set, requiring players to defeat Beloth, the Darksworn, one of the most difficult bosses in the entire game. The helm features a unique Glacial Domain ability that allows the wearer to breathe frost and freeze nearby enemies. It also grants Daze Immunity, making the wearer immune to daze status effects.

Abyss Gear | Glacial Domain, Daze Immunity |
At 8 DEF, this helm provides strong defensive stats for the headgear slot. The real value lies in its unique Glacial Domain Abyss Gear, which is not available on any other piece of equipment. Daze Immunity is also highly useful against enemies that rely on stagger and daze attacks.
Glacial Domain
The Glacial Domain is a unique ability granted by the Plate Helm of the Shadows. When activated, the wearer breathes a cone of frost that freezes enemies caught in the area of effect. This ability is extremely powerful for crowd control, as frozen enemies are completely immobilized and vulnerable to follow-up attacks.
The frost breath can also freeze the surface of water, allowing the player to walk on frozen water for a brief period. This has limited practical application but can occasionally provide shortcuts across rivers and ponds.
How to Obtain
The Plate Helm of the Shadows is obtained by defeating Beloth, the Darksworn at Hoenmark Ruins. This boss encounter is part of the House Lanford Faction Quest called "Wraith in the Frost", which becomes available after completing Chapter 6.
Beloth, the Darksworn is widely considered one of the hardest bosses in Crimson Desert. Players should be well-equipped and at a high level before attempting this fight. The boss uses devastating frost-based attacks and has a large health pool.
After defeating Beloth, follow the quest marker to a nearby section of the ruins where the Plate Helm of the Shadows can be collected from a lit-up box.
Alternative: Frostcursed Plate Helm
Players who are not ready to fight Beloth can obtain a strong alternative headgear, the Frostcursed Plate Helm, from Chattering Rocks. This location is far north of the "D" in "Demeniss" on the map. Look for a vine-covered wall and destroy it using Blinding Flash (L1+R1+L1) to reveal a treasure chest containing the Frostcursed Plate Helm. While it lacks the Glacial Domain ability, it provides solid defensive stats without requiring a boss fight.

Tips
Do not rush the Beloth fight. This is one of the hardest bosses in the game and should be attempted only when you have strong gear and plenty of healing items.
The Glacial Domain frost breath is one of the most powerful crowd control abilities in Crimson Desert. It trivializes many encounters by freezing groups of enemies solid.
If you want a strong plate helm without fighting Beloth, the Frostcursed Plate Helm from Chattering Rocks is a solid alternative that requires no boss fight.
You can collect the other four Shadows set pieces (body armor, cloak, gloves, boots) long before you are ready for the Beloth fight. None of the other pieces require a boss encounter.
The Dark Marksman's Plate Cloak is a cosmetic alternative that applies its own built-in helmet appearance, effectively replacing the look of whatever headgear you have equipped. Some players prefer this look over the Plate Helm of the Shadows.
