How to Obtain
Actions Speak Louder Than Words in the Trials of Kindness chain supplies a broom for cleaning the couple's chimney. The guide says that quest broom can be sold or discarded afterward because replacements can be bought, looted or stolen. It quotes 58 Copper to buy one at a Provisioner; that purchase price is distinct from the older 22 Copper sell quote. Named recorded Broom sellers include Alden and the camp vendor Wynstan. Ordinary refinement starts with 2 Iron Ore at +1 and 3 Iron Ore at +2; the record reaches Attack 33 at +10.
The Broom can be purchased from Provisioner vendors in towns across Pywel. The vendor in Hernand is the earliest accessible shop where players can buy one.
Usage
The Broom's primary function is sweeping and tidying. It is used to clear dust, fallen leaves, and other debris from floors and outdoor areas. In practical terms, the Broom falls under the category of farming and maintenance tools that support the game's life skill systems.
To equip the Broom, open the Equipment Wheel by holding D-Pad Left on a controller or pressing F3 on PC. Only one tool can be active at a time, so you will need to swap back to your main weapon before entering combat.
Refinement
The Broom can be refined at any Smithy across Pywel. Refinement improves the tool's effectiveness, and there are 10 refinement levels available. Speak to a blacksmith and select the Broom from your tool inventory to begin the upgrade process. Refinement requires materials like ore without a currency fee; the older copper coin requirement should not be added as a refinement charge.
Combat Notes
With recorded Attack 10 at +0, the Broom shares that starting value with other tools, including Fine Logging Axe. The earlier combat recommendation treats it as a last resort rather than proof that it outperforms every dedicated weapon. Sheathe your weapon before switching to the Broom through the Equipment Wheel.
Patch 1.04 Changes
Patch 1.04 expanded the broom family by introducing a new variant called the Sturdy Broom. The update frames this addition as a practical upgrade for cleaning, describing it as a sturdier tool for everyday cleaning needs. The regular Broom remains in the game with its existing stats, sell price, and refinement options; the Sturdy Broom is a separate tool that sits alongside it rather than replacing it.
Patch 1.04 explicitly added Sturdy Broom as a tool. The adjacent new-weapon entries name Kliff, but that does not make the separate broom announcement character-exclusive. The matching Sturdy Broom record now names several general-shop sellers, including Alden, Peregrine and Maidon, without documenting first-stock gates or a refinement curve.
Variant status: new in Patch 1.04. This is the first broom-type tool variant added to Crimson Desert since launch.
Character scope: the primary Sturdy Broom announcement has no explicit character-only label; do not transfer the adjacent Kliff weapon label to it.
Role: a cleaning and utility tool, consistent with the description given in the patch preview of a sturdy broom suitable for all cleaning needs. The Sturdy Broom is not listed among the new one-handed weapons introduced in the same patch.
Relationship to the base Broom: the original Broom described in the sections above is unchanged. Refinement rules, provisioner vendors, and the Equipment Wheel still apply to it in exactly the same way. The Sturdy Broom is a separate entry in the tool category.
