Overview
Diamonds are the rarest mineable ore in Starsand Island. They are found only in the deepest zones of the Moonlit Forest, specifically the Harvest Yard and Moonlight Meadow. Because Diamond nodes are extremely sparse, players should save every Diamond they collect rather than selling them. They are used in ultimate-tier jewelry, prestige crafting recipes, and as high-value NPC gifts.
Where to Find Diamonds
Harvest Yard
The Harvest Yard is the final area of the Moonlit Forest and is the primary location for Diamond mining. Diamond ore nodes are scattered throughout this zone, though they are relatively sparse compared to other ores. Ore nodes in the Harvest Yard regenerate every in-game day, so you should make it a habit to fast-travel to the Harvest Yard camp every morning and run a quick mining loop.
Moonlight Meadow
Moonlight Meadow is a deeper section within the Harvest Yard area. Diamond deposits here are even more scarce, with players typically finding only 2 to 3 nodes per visit. However, these nodes are exclusive to Moonlight Meadow and do not overlap with the general Harvest Yard nodes, so checking both areas on the same run increases your total yield.
Prerequisites
Reaching the Harvest Yard and mining Diamonds requires significant game progression. You will need to meet the following requirements:

Tool Requirements
Diamond deposits in the Harvest Yard can be mined with an Impact Hammer or better. For the deeper Moonlight Meadow deposits, an Aurorite Pickaxe is recommended. Crafting Uses
Diamonds are used in several high-tier crafting recipes. Because of their scarcity, it is important to plan which recipes you prioritize.

Ore Chunks and the Ore Analyzer
Mining veins in the deepest Moonlit Forest zones has a chance to drop Rare Ore Chunks. These can be processed at the Ore Analyzer for a chance at Spirit Cube Fragments and other valuable materials. While Diamonds themselves do not come from Ore Chunks, the Rare Ore Chunks you pick up alongside Diamond nodes are still worth processing for bonus resources.
Daily Farming Route
Because Diamond ore nodes regenerate every in-game day, the most effective strategy is to build a daily loop:
Wake up and fast-travel to the Harvest Yard camp.
Run through the Harvest Yard, mining every Diamond node you find along the way. Keep an eye out for the distinctive sparkling appearance of Diamond ore.
Continue deeper into Moonlight Meadow if you have the Aurorite Pickaxe. Mine the 2 to 3 Diamond nodes available there.
Collect any Rare Ore Chunks that drop from mining veins during your route.
Return to your base and process the Rare Ore Chunks at the Ore Analyzer.
Tips
Never sell Diamonds. Their retail price is far from appealing compared to their crafting value, and they are extremely time-consuming to farm.
Stock up on Fire Arrows and Water Arrows before heading to the Harvest Yard. Running out mid-run can force you to leave empty-handed.
Pair your Diamond farming route with Magnetite runs in the Glintortle arena to maximize each Moonlit Forest trip.
The Harvest Yard also contains Flamecore Ore nodes, so mine everything you come across during your loop.
Diamonds are one of the finest NPC gifts in the game. If you have surplus Diamonds, gifting them to NPCs is more valuable than selling them to a shop.
