Travel between cities
How to move between inZOI's three cities (Dowon, Bliss Bay, Cahaya) and the five upcoming cities. Covers permanent relocation via computer, vacation system for Cahaya, fast travel within cities (Dowon underground train), boat travel, and important warnings about save files.
Overview
inZOI features multiple cities that Zois can live in, visit, and travel between. As of early 2026, three cities are available, with five more planned for future updates. Each city has a distinct setting, climate, and set of activities. Traveling between cities takes different forms depending on whether the Zoi is relocating permanently or visiting temporarily.
Available cities
City | Inspiration | Climate | Key Feature |
|---|---|---|---|
Dowon | Seoul, South Korea | 4 seasons | Underground train system, urban density |
Bliss Bay | Santa Monica, USA | Warm year-round | Coastal living, beaches, amusement park |
Cahaya (Kucingku) | Indonesian/Southeast Asian resorts | Tropical year-round | Farming, mining, resort, boats |
Dowon is the default starting city for new games. Bliss Bay became available at Early Access launch in March 2025. Cahaya was added with the free Island Getaway DLC in August 2025.
Upcoming cities
Five additional cities are planned for future updates:
City Name | Status |
|---|---|
Brusimo | Announced, no release date |
Goldenfield | Announced, no release date |
Winiber | Announced, no release date |
Haegang | Announced, no release date |
Recalleta | Announced, no release date |
Details about these cities are limited. They were revealed on the inZOI global map but have not yet received gameplay previews or confirmed themes.
Permanent relocation
Since the December 2025 update, Zois can permanently move from one city to another. The process requires a computer:
Have your Zoi use a computer and select "Learn how to reach another city".
The Zoi must have at least 5,000 Meow saved to fund the move.
Choose the destination city from the available options.
Confirm the relocation. The Zoi and their household will move permanently to the new city.
Relocation is a one-way move. The Zoi's home in the original city is vacated, and they must find new housing in the destination city. Household funds transfer with the family, minus the 5,000 Meow relocation cost.
Vacation system (Cahaya)
The Island Getaway DLC introduced a temporary vacation system specifically for visiting Cahaya. Instead of permanently relocating, Zois can take a vacation:
Travel to Cahaya using the vacation option.
Check into a holiday rental at the Lobby of the Sri Lestari Resort.
Enjoy all of Cahaya's activities (farming, mining, fishing, resort, temple) for the duration of the stay.
Return to the home city when the vacation ends.
The vacation system allows Zois to experience Cahaya's content without giving up their home in Dowon or Bliss Bay.
Fast travel within cities
Each city has different internal transportation options:
Dowon underground train: Dowon features a metro/underground train system that lets Zois fast-travel between different districts within the city. Select a train station on the map and the Zoi will travel there quickly.
Speed up time while driving: in all cities, players can use the game speed controls to accelerate time while a Zoi is driving, reducing real-world waiting during commutes.
Boat travel in Cahaya: water taxis and seaplane docks provide inter-island transport. Zois can also rent one of 6 boat types for personal navigation between Cahaya's three islands.
Important warnings
Save file caution: playing a new family in an old neighborhood on the same save file can change the previous family's life and circumstances. If you want to preserve a family's state, use separate save slots.
Relocation cost: the 5,000 Meow minimum is significant in early game. Budget accordingly and avoid relocating before your household has a financial cushion.
No return guarantee: permanent relocation does not reserve your old home. If you move back later, you will need to find and purchase new housing in the original city.
Tips
Use the vacation system to try out Cahaya before committing to a permanent move.
The Dowon underground train is the fastest way to get around any city in the game. If your Zoi works in Dowon, live near a train station to cut commute time.
Save at least 7,000 to 8,000 Meow before relocating so you have money left over for housing and initial expenses in the new city.
When vacationing in Cahaya, check into the resort early so you have maximum time for farming, mining, and resort activities.
