Sigil of Valor is a Crimson Desert pet accessory added in Patch 1.06.00 on May 10, 2026. When equipped on a pet dog, the sigil makes the dog attack enemies during combat and prevents the dog from being killed by those attacks while equipped.
Vendor and Acquisition (Updated for the Pin Secret Shop)
As of Patch 1.06.00, the Sigil of Valor is stocked by the secret-shop merchant in Pin. The Pin secret shop is the same back-alley vendor described on the Patrigio's Secret Shop page: a roaming late-game merchant who operates outside the standard town vendor list and carries Abyss-tier and accessory items rather than the usual blacksmith stock. The vendor schedule, route, and the night-window timing for finding the secret shop are documented on that page.
The sigil sits in the accessory tier of the shop's inventory, so any Abyss currency or silver carried into the visit goes a long way; the item is a one-off purchase per save and does not need to be re-bought after equipping. Players approaching the shop should bring a pet dog so the sigil can be equipped on the spot from the vendor menu.

Patch 1.07.00 Bulldog Compatibility Fix
Floppy-eared bulldogs were silently locked out of the Sigil of Valor at launch in 1.06.00. The sigil's accessory slot only accepted the launch-window dog breeds; dragging the sigil onto a floppy-eared bulldog produced no error and no equip, which the patch notes for Patch 1.07.00 address directly.
The 1.07.00 fix aligns the eligibility list for the accessory slot with the broader dog-breed roster. After installing the patch:
Floppy-eared bulldogs accept the sigil on the collar slot the same way the launch-window breeds do.
Both the active-attack behaviour and the equip-time invulnerability apply once the slot is filled.
Players who were keeping a floppy-eared bulldog as a non-combat companion can equip the sigil immediately after the patch; the slot eligibility refreshes on the next pet summon, so no re-summon trick is required.
Cross-References for the Pet System
The Sigil of Valor sits inside the broader pet framework added across the late-game patches. The combat sigil pairs with the auto-loot benefit of bird pets for players who keep a dog in active combat and a bird out for pickup duty during disarm runs; the bird grabs dropped weapons from enemies while the dog keeps the surrounding mob occupied.

Effects
Active attacks. The equipped dog will engage enemies in combat rather than following passively.
Invulnerability while equipped. The dog cannot die from attacks taken while the sigil is equipped; it can be commanded back rather than respawned.
How to Obtain
Sigil of Valor is sold by Lacey, a roaming merchant in Pororin Village. Lacey moves between the Florindale and Petalton Workshop areas and can be identified by her green hood and oversized backpack. The same merchant also stocks Sigil of Bonding at the same 8 Silver Coin price.

Reaching Lacey requires completing The Unreachable Village faction quest, which opens the Pororin region. Players who arrived at Pororin through Phase 1 progression already meet this prerequisite.
Equipping the Sigil
Purchase Sigil of Valor from Lacey for 8 Silver Coins.
Summon the pet dog you want to equip. Cats and other pet species are not eligible.
Open the inventory and navigate to the Pets tab.
Drag Sigil of Valor onto the dog's collar accessory slot.
Re-summon the dog. Attacks now register against enemies in combat.

Patch History
Patch 1.07.00 - Floppy-Eared Bulldog Fix
On May 15, 2026, Patch 1.07.00 addressed a bug where floppy-eared bulldogs could not equip the Sigil of Valor at all. At launch in 1.06.00, the sigil only accepted Jindo and Husky breeds on the collar slot, and any attempt to drag it onto a floppy-eared bulldog would silently fail without an in-game error. The 1.07 fix aligns the breed eligibility for the sigil with the rest of the dog breed list, so floppy-eared bulldogs now accept the accessory and gain both the active-attack behaviour and the equip-time invulnerability documented in the Effects section above.
Players who had been keeping a floppy-eared bulldog as a non-combat companion can equip the sigil after the patch without re-summoning the pet first; the equip slot is updated on the next pet summon after the patch is installed.
Patch 1.10.00 - Baby Wyvern Compatibility
On June 5, 2026, Patch 1.10.00 updated the Sigil of Valor item description so the accessory can be equipped on Dogs and on Baby Wyverns, broadening it beyond the dog-only roster. The same notes stated that the Iron Eagle and Phoenix would also be able to equip the Sigil of Valor in a following patch; as of 1.10.00 those two pets could not yet equip it, which the patch listed as a known issue. That unlock shipped in Patch 1.11.00 (see below).
Patch 1.10.01 - Item Description Correction
On June 6, 2026, Patch 1.10.01 corrected the Sigil of Valor item description. After the 1.10.00 description was broadened to Dogs and Baby Wyverns, it also indicated that the Iron Eagle and Phoenix could equip the sigil. The hotfix removed that incorrect indication so the description matches the accessory's actual pet compatibility.
Patch 1.11.00 - Iron Eagle and Phoenix Compatibility
On June 12, 2026, Patch 1.11.00 enabled the Iron Eagle and Phoenix to equip the Sigil of Valor. This completed the rollout that began in Patch 1.10.00: the accessory now works on Dogs, Baby Wyverns, the Iron Eagle, and the Phoenix. The earlier known issue that prevented the two legendary birds from equipping the sigil is resolved.
