Pet Armor is a cosmetic equipment system in Crimson Desert that allows you to dress your pet companions in various outfits, helmets, and body armor. These items are purely cosmetic and do not affect gameplay stats or pet performance. Both dogs and cats can wear pet armor once they have been tamed and registered as permanent companions through the pet taming system. The only benefit beyond looks is seeing your pet loot items in style.
The following pet armor items are currently available in the game:
Item | Animal | Slot | Approximate Cost |

The selection includes musketeer-style attire, miniature medieval helmets, and full armor sets designed for dog companions. Patch 1.02 introduced the first cat-specific armor pieces: the Vizionat helmet and the Vizionet Chief body armor. Both are available from the pet shop vendor in Porterin Village, inside a house. Additional cat armor pieces may appear in future patches as the pet tailor inventory continues to expand.
Pet Armor is sold at Pet Tailor Shops in two locations:
Milou's Tailor Shop in Pororin Forest Village carries the larger selection of pet armor. However, this village requires completing a quest chain to unlock access:
Step 1: Attempt to enter Pororin Village three times. Each attempt triggers a short interaction with the villagers who turn you away.
Step 2: After the third attempt, the quest "The Unreachable Village" becomes available in your Journal.
Step 3: Complete The Unreachable Village and the follow-up quest "Authorized Access," which involves retrieving the Relic of Poporin from the wandering tree Offin.
Step 4: Once both quests are complete, you gain permanent access to Pororin Village and all its shops, including Milou's Tailor Shop.
Pororin Village is located in the northeast area of the map. It also contains other unique vendors and quest givers, including Lumiel who provides the Sustained Supply Arrow.
A pet shop vendor in Porterin Village sells the two cat-exclusive armor items added in Patch 1.02: the Vizionat helmet and the Vizionet Chief body armor. The vendor is located inside a house in the village. This is currently the only shop where these cat armor pieces can be purchased.
A pet tailor is also available in Demeniss once you reach that region in the story. This shop carries a smaller selection of items compared to Pororin Village. The pet tailor in Demeniss is located in the southeast part of the city. Note that soldiers in Demeniss may be hostile during early visits, so be cautious when exploring the city before progressing far enough in the story.
Step 1: Open your inventory menu.
Step 2: Switch to the Pets tab.
Step 3: Select the pet armor item from your inventory.
Step 4: Choose "Equip" to have your pet wear the selected outfit.
You can change or remove pet armor at any time through the same Pets tab in your inventory. There is no cost for equipping or unequipping, and switching outfits is instant.
Pet tailor shops only appear in your game after you have completed the pet taming process and registered at least one companion. To tame a pet:
Step 1: Find a stray dog or cat in a settlement.
Step 2: Feed it and interact with it to build trust over time.
Step 3: Once trust reaches 100, register the animal as your permanent companion.
After registering your first pet, pet tailor shop icons will appear on your map at the locations listed above. Your pet follows you around the world and automatically loots nearby item drops on the ground.
Patch 1.02: Added two new cat armor items (Vizionat and Vizionet Chief), available from the pet shop vendor in Porterin Village.
Pororin Village has the best selection, so unlock access there as early as possible by attempting to enter three times and completing the follow-up quests.
Pet armor is cosmetic only. It does not increase your pet's survivability or combat ability.
At approximately 2.40 silver per item, pet armor is inexpensive. You can afford to buy multiple outfits and swap between them for variety.
Check back at pet tailor shops periodically, as the inventory may expand with future updates or patches.
Tame a pet early in the game for the auto-loot convenience. The pet taming process takes some time, so start building trust with a stray animal as soon as you find one.
Remember that pet tailor shops will not appear on the map until you register your first pet companion. Complete the taming process before looking for the shops.
