Overview
The Coot is a waterfowl species found near lakes and ponds throughout Pywel. Unlike the other bird species in Crimson Desert, which are classified as flightless ground birds, the Coot is categorized as waterfowl in the Knowledge System. Coots can be hunted for Bird Meat.
Appearance
Coots have a distinctive look: a solid black body contrasted by a bright white bill and frontal shield on the forehead. Their feet are notably broad-toed, adapted for paddling through water. They are larger than partridges and crakes, making them easier to identify at a distance when floating on the surface of a pond or lake.
Location and Habitat
Coots are found near bodies of still or slow-moving water, including lakes, ponds, and calm river sections. They spend much of their time on the water's surface, occasionally diving for food. Players interested in fishing may encounter coots at the same locations where fish can be caught. Look for them floating near reeds and shoreline vegetation.

Tips
Coots are easier to spot than other birds because they sit on open water. Check ponds and lakes during your travels.
