Manaphy is a Mythical Pokemon added to Pokemon Pokopia in the free Version 2.0.0 update on August 5, 2026. It teaches Ditto the move Dive, which opens up underwater exploration and building for every player.
Teaching Dive
Manaphy appears once you meet all of the following requirements:
Complete the request Raise the environment level! in Bleak Beach.
Know Surf.
Be able to jump.
Because Version 2.0.0 is free, the move itself reaches every player, whether or not they buy the Expansion Pass.
Befriending Manaphy so that it settles in your town is a separate matter. The official site places that in the paid Bubbly Basin content, alongside the rest of the underwater roster.
Free Update Versus Paid Content
The split is easy to get wrong, so it is worth stating plainly. The move Dive arrived in the free Version 2.0.0 update and is available to every player. Manaphy is the Pokemon that teaches it. Having Manaphy join your town as a friend, however, belongs to the paid Bubbly Basin content.
