Overview
Alakazam is a Psychic-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia, classified as the Psi Pokemon (Dex #215). It can memorize anything and never forgets what it learns, which is why this Pokemon is considered extremely smart. Alakazam is the final evolution of the Abra family, following Kadabra. It carries two specialties: Trade and Teleport, making it one of the more versatile Psychic-type partners on your island.
Habitat
Alakazam can be found at two habitats.
Surging Psychic Power (#151)
Sit in front of the crystal ball and focus to gain mastery over your psychic powers...maybe.
Item | Quantity | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Simple Cushion | 1 | Basic seating cushion |
Crystal Ball | 1 | Fortune-telling decoration |
Alakazam is a Rare visitor at the Surging Psychic Power habitat in the Sparkling Skylands zone. It is available during all times of day (Morning, Day, Evening, Night) and in all weather conditions (Sunny, Cloudy, Rainy). This habitat also attracts Abra (Common).
Experiment Space (#168)
A space for conducting experiments. Someone may have left their research notes behind.
Item | Quantity | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Science Experiment | 1 | Laboratory equipment |
Microscope | 1 | Scientific instrument |
1 | Research notes |
Alakazam is a Common visitor at the Experiment Space habitat. It is available during all times of day and in all weather conditions. This is the easier habitat for finding Alakazam since it appears as a Common visitor here rather than Rare.
How to Befriend
The Experiment Space habitat is the recommended option for befriending Alakazam, since it appears there as a Common visitor. Place one Science Experiment, one Microscope, and one Paper near each other to build this habitat. Alternatively, the Surging Psychic Power habitat only needs a Simple Cushion and a Crystal Ball, but Alakazam is Rare there. Walk up and interact with it when it arrives to befriend it.
Specialties
Trade
Alakazam has the Trade specialty. Pokemon with this specialty can exchange items with you at a cash register. Place a cash register near Alakazam's habitat, and it will staff the register to offer item trades.
Teleport
Alakazam also has the Teleport specialty. Pokemon with the Teleport specialty can instantly transport items or the player between locations on your island. This makes Alakazam doubly useful: it can both trade items and move them across the map.

Evolution Family
Alakazam is the final stage of its evolution family. In the main Pokemon series, Abra (Dex #213) evolves into Kadabra (Dex #214) at level 16, and Kadabra evolves into Alakazam through trade. In Pokopia, there is no evolution mechanic, so each member must be found at its own habitat independently. Abra and Kadabra share the Fortune-teller's Table habitat, while Alakazam has its own habitats at Surging Psychic Power and Experiment Space.
Tips
The Experiment Space is the best habitat for befriending Alakazam since it appears there as a Common visitor. At Surging Psychic Power, it is only Rare.
Having both Trade and Teleport makes Alakazam one of the most useful Psychic-type Pokemon to keep on your island. It can staff a shop and transport goods.
The Experiment Space habitat requires a Science Experiment, Microscope, and Paper. These are research-themed items that you may find in shops or as rewards.
To collect the full Abra evolution family, build the Fortune-teller's Table for Abra and Kadabra, and the Experiment Space for Alakazam.
