The Goldbranch Plate Crown is an EpicHeadgear piece in Crimson Desert. Shaped like spreading branches, it is one of the few helmets in the game that does not require a mask, allowing the wearer's face to remain visible. The crown grants access to the Storm FangAbyss Gear ability, which calls down chain lightning on enemies.
Description
A crown shaped like spreading branches. Since ancient times, crowns have symbolized the status of those in power. However, wearing a crown does not mean one possesses the leadership to match it.
The Goldbranch Plate Crown comes with the Storm Fang Abyss Gear effect. When triggered, Storm Fang calls down an orb of lightning that strikes the target and chains to nearby enemies, dealing AoE Lightning damage. Attacks imbued with Lightning can trigger Storm Fang at the cost of Spirit. This makes the crown a strong offensive headgear choice for builds that rely on lightning damage and crowd control.
How to Obtain
The Goldbranch Plate Crown is one of three rewards from the Bloodied Sanctum quest. This quest becomes available after completing the Legendary Animals quest chain for House Celeste in Hernand. After the Legendary Animals chain, travel to Hillside Manor in the City of Hernand and speak to the guard with the orange collar marker. This opens the remaining quests for the Hernandian Parish of Solumen faction, ultimately leading to the Bloodied Sanctum south of Hernand.
The Bloodied Sanctum involves defeating Sizlek, the leader of the Fundamentalist Goblins. Upon completing the quest, you receive the Goldbranch Plate Crown along with the Greedy Lightningblade and Shadow Gloves.
Unlock Chain Summary
Reaching the Blooded Sanctum mission that drops this crown is gated behind a long chain of faction quests. A confirmed order is: three of nine Hernand outlaw bounties for House Celeste, House Roberts Estate plus Continuing Concern plus Border from the Sky (with Embers of Return for the Greymane recruits), House Circus Lord of Mister Ruins, House Alonso House of Spears and On the Spear Tip Once Again and Transcendent Structure, then back to House Circus for Flame Melting the Chains, Secret of the Last Seal, Silent Anvil, and Hooves Through the Wind. House Celeste Queen of the Silk-Spun Citadel then unlocks the Hernandian Parish of Solumen with Where Land Meets Sky and Missing Relic.
From that point the chain continues with Celeste How Hands, Valua Fishermen's Guild Beyond the Silent Waves, Celeste Girl Lost in the Mists and Abandoned Factory, then Legendary Wolf which unlocks House Felix Family Concerns and Shackle-Breaking Hammer. Finish all nine Hernand bounties (clear the Vilcom Outpost to trigger the last one), do House Circus Nemesis Demise, Goldleaf Merchant Guild Extinguishing the Last Flames, the Scholar Stone Institute research mission, and the Powder Forest Guardians trio (Toll of Pywell, Trembling Wood, Children of the Woods). Then the Beggars' Alliance and Plague Over the Wall unlock House Grace, Driftton and Pollen Aerry, Wagon in the Skies (which grants the Hot Air Balloon), and Owner of Glenn Bright Manor. That opens the Kharonso Troll Alliance Sleeping Heart and Celeste Frozen Elder Tree.
Finally, speak to the Wandering Freesword at Lion Crest Manor to start Legendary Animals for House Celeste, clean up Pin and the Scholar Stone Institute research, and complete What the Stars Left Behind. The Ruined Chapel mission then becomes available, and defeating Sisel inside the Blooded Sanctum awards the Goldbranch Plate Crown alongside the Greedy Lightningblade and Shadow Gloves.
Storm Fang Lightning Imbue
Visually and mechanically the Goldbranch Plate Crown stands out because its built-in Storm Fang abyss gear imbues the wearer's next attacks with Lightning Element damage. Pairing the crown with the Greedy Lightningblade creates a natural elemental-matching build: lightning-imbued swings keep Storm Fang's chain-lightning proc available on-demand, which is why the two pieces are typically used together on the same character.
Linked Rewards From Sisel
Greedy Lightningblade - one-handed sword with Critical Rate Lv. 1 and a lightning affinity.
Shadow Gloves - gloves that grant one minute of undetected stealing anywhere.
This is one of the few helmets that does not cover the face with a mask. If you want your character's face to be visible while wearing headgear, the Goldbranch Plate Crown is an excellent option.
The Storm Fang ability makes this crown especially powerful in group combat scenarios where chain lightning can hit multiple targets.
Since Storm Fang consumes Spirit, pair this crown with gear or abilities that boost Spirit regeneration for sustained AoE damage.
Complete the Valortread Armor Set quest first, as it is a prerequisite for unlocking the Bloodied Sanctum quest.
