Major Corsair Ring is an epic ring in Windrose. It modifies slash damage when worn in an accessory slot. It is the top-tier ring in its line, carrying the strongest bonus and requiring Tumbaga Ingots and Sapphire to craft.

Effect
Increases Slash Damage by 12%
Slash damage is the dominant type for cutlasses, sabres, and most swords. Pair this ring with a primary slashing weapon so the multiplier applies to every light and heavy swing. Strength weapons such as the Club deal blunt damage instead and gain nothing from this bonus, so reserve the ring for a cutting build.
How to Obtain
Crafted at the Jewelery Table. The Jewelery Table is the accessory workbench in Windrose and must be placed indoors under a roof and within range of a Bonfire to function. Building it the first time requires Wood, Foothills Iron Ingot, and Silver Ingot.

Crafting Materials
Every ring at this tier is assembled from refined metals and a single cut gemstone. Stockpile the components before you sit down at the bench so a full set of accessories can be crafted in one session.
Material | Type | How to Acquire |
|---|---|---|
Refined metal | Smelted from silver ore at a furnace. The base material shared by every piece of jewelry in the game. | |
Refined alloy | A gold and copper alloy bar used for higher-tier accessories. Smelted from its ore at a furnace and required only by the Epic ring. | |
Gemstone | A blue gem set into the band. Mined from gem nodes and recovered from chests, then placed straight into the recipe without further refining. | |
Refined metal | Needed only for the ascend step that lifts the Rare ring to this Epic version. Smelted from gold ore at a furnace. |
Because the recipe leans on Tumbaga Ingot and a Sapphire, this ring sits later in a run than the silver-only entry tier. Plan a smelting trip for the metals and a gem run before committing to the craft.
Tier Comparison
Rings in the Corsair Ring line share the same base effect; each tier increases the magnitude. The Major Corsair Ring sits at the Epic tier. The full line:
Tier | Ring | Effect |
|---|---|---|
Uncommon | Increases Slash Damage by 6% | |
Rare | Increases Slash Damage by 9% | |
Epic | Major Corsair Ring | Increases Slash Damage by 12% |
Build Notes
Slash damage scales with the weapon in hand rather than a character stat, so the percentage from this ring is added on top of whatever weapon and Agility or Strength scaling your slashing weapon already uses. It is a flat multiplier to one damage type, which makes it strongest for players who commit to cutting weapons rather than swapping between damage types.
Against the Epic alternatives crafted at the same bench, the Corsair line is the pick for melee swordplay. A ranged build gains more from the Marksman line instead, so match the ring to the weapon class you fight with most.
Tips
Windrose characters have three accessory slots: one ring slot, one necklace slot, and one miscellaneous slot. Only one ring can be worn at a time, so pick the one whose bonus best matches your primary weapon or task.
Any ring crafted at the Jewelery Table can be broken down at the Disassembly Table, returning a portion of its silver. If you swap to a different ring effect, disassembling the old one recovers some of the materials.
A ring and a necklace occupy separate slots, so this ring stacks with any necklace bonus. A common loadout is one offensive ring plus a stat necklace that feeds the same weapon.
All jewelry shares the Jewelery Table as its only crafting station, and the same bench handles ascending lower tiers and breaking pieces down at the Disassembly Table. Keep both placed together to cut down on travel.
Flavor Text
A similar ring once belonged to notorious Captain Samuel Bellamy. He never lost a battle. The sea didn't care; it claimed him in a storm.
