Damage Resistance is a flat percentage reduction applied after type-specific defences, so it cuts the damage you actually take from every source. This makes the ring a safety-net pick for tough boss fights where defensive armour alone is not enough.

Because it reduces all incoming damage rather than one damage type, the ring complements heavy armour sets instead of overlapping with them. It shines in the Cursed Swamps and the Ashlands, where hard-hitting enemies can spike your health bar faster than type-specific defence alone can absorb.

How to Obtain

The Ring of Divine Protection line is not craftable at the Jewelery Table. Its source is currently undocumented in the public item database: it is most commonly reported as world loot from chests and containers rather than a dedicated vendor or craft recipe. Check explorable ruins, hidden caches, and buried chests while travelling the islands.

Since the Divine Protection line does not appear in the crafting menus, plan to find it rather than make it. Treat any copy you pull from a chest as worth keeping: a defensive ring is hard to replace, and the higher tiers, the Regular Ring of Divine Protection and Major Ring of Divine Protection, carry the same effect at a larger magnitude.

Usage Notes

On the single ring slot, the choice is usually between an offensive ring and this defensive one. New players surviving their first tough bosses often get more value from the flat damage reduction than from a marginal damage ring, then switch to an offensive option once their gear and stats catch up.
