Overview
Blunderbusses are two-handed close-range scatter firearms that scale with Agility. They deliver a dense cone of shot at short range, making them the shotgun-equivalent of the firearm family. At point-blank range a blunderbuss volley cripples elite enemies; past mid-range the spread renders them ineffective. All deal Pierce damage.
Three blunderbusses ship in the current live build: one Uncommon baseline and two Rare/Epic named variants. The class pairs naturally with Agility-scaling melee weapons like the Two-Handed Sword or Dueling Greatsword so a single stat investment covers the whole loadout.
Damage Type
Every hit from this class lands as Pierce damage. Windrose sorts weapon damage into three types, Slash, Pierce, and Crude, and enemy defenses respond to each one differently. The same Pierce profile that tears through one foe can glance off another, so check what you are fighting before you lean an entire Agility build around a single damage type.
Current Live Roster
Image | Weapon | Rarity | ATK (Lvl 15) | Damage | Scaling | Key Effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Uncommon | 380 | 150 Pierce | Agility (D) | No special effect listed. | |
| Rare / Epic | 380 | 160 Pierce | Agility (C) | Dealing Damage has 60% chance of dealing bonus Fire Damage. | |
| Rare / Epic | 380 | 180 Pierce | Agility (B) | At close range, shots have a small chance to knock enemies down. |
Epic Bonus Line
Ascending a Rare variant to Epic adds one more effect on top of the Rare effect. The exact bonus varies per weapon:
Weapon | Epic Bonus |
|---|---|
Dealing Damage has 60% chance of triggering fire explosion around the target. | |
Shots consume less gunpowder. |
Rare vs Epic Summary
Every Rare/Epic weapon in this category shares the same scaling mechanics. Ascending a Rare variant at the Weaponsmith Workshop preserves the Rare effect and stacks the Epic bonus on top. The Reliable-line firearms in every class jump to Precision (S) or Agility (B) at Epic, which is the single largest scaling jump in the ranged roster.

Typical Build
Agility primary, Endurance for stamina pool. Pair with a Two-Handed Sword or Dueling Greatsword so a single Agility investment covers the whole loadout. Open engagements at close range with a blunderbuss volley to break shields and chip health, then swap to melee once the target is committed. Reliable Blunderbuss is the default Rare pick; Dragon's Breath trades damage for fire AoE.
Ammunition and Reload
Like every firearm, blunderbusses run on Gunpowder, so keep a supply stocked before a fight. Reloading has an active and a passive form: you can press the reload key to top up at once, or simply fire the weapon dry and swap straight to a melee weapon while it reloads on its own in the background.
That swap pattern fits the blunderbuss perfectly. It is the shotgun of the firearm family, devastating at point-blank and useless past mid range, so the standard play is to open at close quarters with a volley to break shields and chip health, then change to a Two-Handed Sword or Dueling Greatsword once the target is committed. Because both the blunderbuss and those greatswords scale with Agility, one stat investment covers the whole loadout. The Reliable Blunderbuss is the default Rare pick, while Dragon's Breath trades raw damage for a chance at bonus Fire Damage.
