Guns favored for raking fire that punish alignment errors brutally. Their shots tear through decks, guns, and crew alike, leaving damage that worsens with every blow that follows. In-Game Effect
Hitting a target with more than 50 of a volley applies Raked effect for 25 seconds. All Damage dealt to affected targets is increased by 10%. Stacks up to 3 times. Reload speed increased by 15%.

When to Use
Devastating cannons apply the Raked debuff that multiplies all damage on hit targets. Best against high-HP hulls like Brethren Brigs and Frigates where the Raked uptime matters. Pair with Naval Tactics V: Silence the Guns to keep pressure on enemy reloads.
The Epic (Ascended) tier adds a universal Weak Spot damage bonus (+20% bonus damage to Weak Spot hits). This stacks on top of the Rare tier's mechanical effect rather than replacing it, so the ascended cannon is strictly better if you have Tumbaga Ingot to spare and want the final-tier DPS.
