Fits Ships
36-pound cannons are the heaviest caliber in the game and only one hull can carry them. The Blackbeard Frigate can replace its default 24-pound guns with 36-pound guns for maximum per-volley damage at the cost of reload speed. Compatible hulls:
Caliber Role
At 2500 damage per volley, the 36-pound class is the hardest-hitting Cannons caliber in the game, ahead of the 2000 damage 24-Pounders and the 1500 damage 12-pound guns. That power comes with the slowest baseline reload at 14 seconds and the steepest material cost, and only the Blackbeard Frigate has slots that accept it. The trade is straightforward: you give up rate of fire and flexibility for the largest single broadside available, which suits sustained hits against high-HP targets where each volley matters more than how often you fire.
This baseline Uncommon gun carries no special effect. If you want an on-hit bonus on top of the 36-pound caliber, the modded lines layer one over the same damage figure: 36-Pounders: Tempered trades reload for a delayed damage spike and is the only variant that reaches S rank in both range and accuracy, 36-Pounders: Devastating stacks a damage-taken debuff on the target, and 36-Pounders: Perfectly Ordered rewards landing hits soon after reloading with a rolling reload-speed buff. All of them ascend from Rare to Epic with Tumbaga Ingot.

When to Use
The baseline 36-Pounders is the most accessible cannon of its caliber and requires no Recipe Papers to craft. It trades mechanical effect for raw availability, which matters when you need to re-arm mid-campaign or outfit a new hull quickly before hunting down higher-tier plans.
