How to Obtain
Hoppip Event Shop
During the More Spores for Hoppip event, exchange 5 Cotton Spores at the Pokemon Center event shop for one pack of 5 Dandy Flower Seeds. The shop has unlimited stock during the event window.
System Clock Workaround
Setting the Switch 2 system clock to any date between March 9 and March 24, 2026 will reactivate the Hoppip event shop, allowing players who missed the live event to obtain the seeds.
Planting and Growing
To turn seeds into Dandy Flowers:
Use the Rototiller move (taught by Drilbur) to till a patch of soil.
Place the seeds on the tilled soil.
Use the Water Gun move (taught by Squirtle) to water the soil. Watering speeds growth.
Wait approximately one in-game day. The seeds bloom into Dandy Flowers.
Pokemon with the Grow specialty (such as Bulbasaur or Hoppip) accelerate the growth of nearby plants. Place a Grow-specialty Pokemon near the seeds to harvest the flowers faster.
Habitat Usage
Dandy Flowers (the grown form) are required for two event habitats:
Habitat | Dandy Flowers Needed | Pokemon Attracted |
|---|---|---|
Yellow Carpet | 4 (arranged in a 2x2 grid) | Hoppip, Skiploom, Jumpluff |
Dandelion Lunchtime | 1 (with other items) | Jumpluff exclusively |
Tips
Plant Dandy Flower Seeds early in the event because growth takes a full in-game day. Delay reduces the time you have to use the flowers in habitat builds.
Buy multiple packs of seeds (each pack costs 5 Cotton Spores and contains 5 seeds). The Yellow Carpet alone needs 4 fully grown flowers, and the Dandelion Lunchtime needs another 1 flower.
Ask a Pokemon with the Grow specialty to follow you to the planting site to speed up growth.
