Overview
The More Spores for Hoppip event is the first limited-time event in Pokemon Pokopia. Running from March 10 to March 25, 2026, it introduces three event-exclusive Pokemon: Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff. Players collect Cotton Spores from Dream Islands and exchange them for event furniture used to build special habitats that attract these Pokemon.
Event Dates

|---|---|
Start Date | March 10, 2026, 5:00 AM local time |
End Date | March 25, 2026, 4:59 AM local time |
Duration | Approximately two weeks |
Prerequisites
Before you can participate in the event, you must have a fully built Pokemon Center in your area. Hoppip appears as the "talk of the town" Pokemon at the Pokemon Center entrance. Speak to Hoppip to begin the event. Note that Hoppip only appears in main areas, not on Cloud Islands.
Cotton Spore Collection
Cotton Spores are the event currency. They spawn on Dream Islands during the event period. Access Dream Islands by giving any doll to Drifloon. Cotton Spores appear on every Dream Island visited while the event is active, so players can collect them through normal Dream Island runs.
Event Shop
Exchange Cotton Spores at the Pokemon Center for event-exclusive items. All items have unlimited stock, so you can buy as many as you need before the event ends.

Required Items | 1 Dandy Flower + 1 Flower Cushion + 1 Flowery Table Setting + 1 Lunch Box |
Pokemon Attracted | Jumpluff |
Notes | Increases the odds of Jumpluff appearing. Costs 30 Cotton Spores total (Flower Cushion 10 + Flowery Table Setting 10 + Lunch Box 5 + Dandy Flower Seeds 5). |
Featured Pokemon
Pokemon | Type | Specialty | Rarity in Event Habitat |
|---|---|---|---|
Grass/Flying | Common | ||
Grass/Flying | Rare | ||
Grass/Flying | Grow + Litter | Very Rare |
Jumpluff is the most valuable of the three because it has two specialties. Its Grow specialty accelerates plant growth, while its Litter specialty causes it to periodically drop cotton-related materials.
System Clock Workaround
The event runs on the Nintendo Switch 2's internal system clock rather than a live server. Setting your console's date to any day between March 9 and March 24, 2026, will activate the event regardless of the actual calendar date. This means the event Pokemon are not permanently missable. See the Limited-Time Events article for full details on the clock workaround.
Cloud Islands Exclusion
Cloud Islands (multiplayer islands separate from the main campaign) do not participate in events. Hoppip cannot appear on Cloud Islands, and event items and Pokemon are unavailable there.
Tips
Prioritize buying Dandy Flower Seeds first (5 Cotton Spores) since you need to grow them into Dandy Flowers before building the Yellow Carpet habitat.
The Yellow Carpet habitat is the most efficient because it attracts all three event Pokemon with a single setup.
The total Cotton Spore cost for all necessary habitat items is roughly 30 to 40 spores, achievable within 4 to 6 days of Dream Island visits.
This event is expected to be a recurring springtime event, similar to holiday events in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Time traveling backward from the future requires jumping to a previous date first, then forward to the intended event date.
