Overview
The Zargan Warhammer is a two-handed weapon in Crimson Desert that grants increased Critical Hit Chance, improving the likelihood of dealing critical damage. With 15 base attack power and Critical Hit Chance Lv. 1, it shares an identical stat profile with the Ceremonial Warhammer, making them functionally interchangeable from a numbers perspective. The weapon is wielded exclusively by Oongka.

The Zargan name ties the weapon to its region of origin. Zargan-crafted equipment carries its own visual style that distinguishes it from Bekker, Thalwynd, and Pailunese designs, though the stat differences between regional variants in the same tier are minimal.

How to Obtain
The Zargan Warhammer can be crafted at a Blacksmith using the following materials:
Material | Quantity |
|---|---|
Iron Ore | 10 |
Copper Ore | 3 |
The corresponding weapon recipe book must be learned before crafting becomes available. Recipe books are scattered across Pywel and can be found during exploration, looted from specific locations, or purchased from merchants. Once the recipe is known, the weapon can be crafted at any Blacksmith in the game. The weapon may also appear in Equipment Shops.
Combat Notes
The Zargan Warhammer and the Ceremonial Warhammer have identical stats: 15 attack, Crit Lv. 1, five Abyss Core slots. The only differences are visual design and regional availability of the crafting recipe. Players will end up using whichever recipe they unlock first unless they have a strong aesthetic preference.
Compared to the pure-damage warhammers (Bonepit Warhammer and Thalwynd Warhammer at 16 attack), the Zargan trades one point of base attack for the Critical Hit Chance Lv. 1 bonus. Over a long fight, the crits generated by the Lv. 1 bonus will typically outperform the one-point difference in base damage, making the Zargan statistically superior for sustained encounters.
The warhammer moveset applies here: overhead slams, concentrated vertical strikes, and charged attacks that break enemy poise. The crit bonus means that when a charged heavy attack lands as a critical hit, the single-strike damage spikes significantly, which is especially effective against bosses and elite enemies with large health pools.
Refinement
With 10 refinement levels available at a Blacksmith, the Zargan Warhammer scales well as refinement boosts the base attack value that critical hit damage multiplies against. Higher refinement tiers make each crit hit harder, compounding the value of the built-in Crit Lv. 1 bonus.
Tips
The Zargan Warhammer is statistically identical to the Ceremonial Warhammer. Craft whichever recipe you find first; there is no mechanical reason to prefer one over the other.
If you want a crit warhammer, this is one of your two options (alongside the Ceremonial). If you want a crit greataxe instead, look at the Pailunese Logging Axe for the axe moveset with the same stats.
Stack Abyss Cores with critical hit chance to build on the Lv. 1 foundation. The overhead slam moveset benefits heavily from crit since each hit already deals high per-swing damage.
Prices for crafting and refinement may vary based on faction reputation. Build reputation with the local faction to reduce costs if you plan to refine this weapon to high tiers.
